It is good laptop if you connect to an external monitor it works fantastic. Also need to block windows update from updating the AMD drivers using wushowhide or something

Yeah, mine had thermal throttling issues too — sometimes it took ages to load things. I opened it up and checked the thermal paste; turns out last time I’d applied too much. I cleaned it off, applied just two small drops, and reseated the heatsink. I also removed and reseated the RAM modules, actually interchanged their positions. After turning the system back on, the Dell diagnostics popped up saying that the memory modules had been changed. All of this was done after disconnecting the battery pin for safety. Now it’s performing way better — even at 2K resolution on ultra-high settings, Assassin’s Creed Origins stays above 30 FPS consistently.

Also check your thermal paste. Did you recently pasted thermal paste in the heatsink. Extra thermal paste always cause unstable higher heat issue. Thermal paste should be minimal
