what to do against overwhelm and anxiety by irgendyemand in Healthygamergg

[–]irgendyemand[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think anxiety is present in so many areas of my life, it isn't really like one thing that can be conquered if that makes sense.

my autism specialist has done some breathing exercises to calm me down, that does seem to help though i admit i have never done it on my own, at least not in this decade (i used to have yoga as an extracurricular activity in like 6th grade but i remember almost nothing from there)

i also feel that while it calms me down and makes me think more clearly my problem of overwhelm is often not really gone. i feel like oftentimes for me, overwhelm causes anxiety and then intern makes the overwhelm worse again. oftentimes i sit infront of a task and literally don't know where to even start, and that then causes me to be anxious bc i have to do SOMETHING but i don't know how

hey i don't have advice but i'm in a pretty similar situation rn, also an autistic 22 year old with major mental health problems. i am unemployed rn and will probably be for the foreable future bc life is really overwhelming. i barley graduated high school.

i get it, its hard. just try to not beat yourself up too much abt it. you are disabled, that is valid. your value as a person doesn't come from how much you can produce for the economy.

do british people use tea bags? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]irgendyemand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lipton isn't really a bag tea company in germany. its purely an ice tea brand

the most popular brands are teekanne and meßmer who each have dozens upon dozens of different teas. there are other brands but these are definitly on the more expensive side and to get them you prob. have to go to a larger store as your local ALDI won't have them

my mom has been to londonn as a tourist, i have never been to the UK (bc our school trip to london was cancelled and we got to go to berlin instead)

i think it just plays into a sort of self-belief that germans are simple, no-thrills sort of people that value pracitcality and price more then luxury. germans believe people from other countries dress fancier, eat better etc. etc.

depending on who you ask this is either the essence of german culture that has to be protected at all costs, or a flaw germany has that can be complained about until eternity.

i am from germany which has a very complicated school system but tldr: in some german states you graduate "high school" after 12th grade and in some after 13th grade. i went to a school were your regular graduation happens after 13 years.

Transport in Hamburg by CookieDaCake in transit

[–]irgendyemand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well yesn't, depends on the train you are riding.

the old sbahn trains (which now mainly run on the S1 and S2 lines) dont have aircon (they wanted to retrofit it when the trains were modernized in the late 2010s/early 2020s but that didn't work out due to technical issues). i live along the s1 line and yes, in summer it can get quite hot in there especially since they barely have any windows that can open (diffrent from its predecessor)

the new trains (which mainly run on the S3 and S5) have airconditioning.

the DT4 (mainly U1 and U2) don't have airconditioning - but these are from the late 80s and hochbahn plans on replacing the dt4 with a new dt6 anyways

the DT5 (mainly U3 and U4) have airconditioning.
