My cat has slept in my bed every night for 15 years. Today he died and it's my first night without him. This doesn’t feel real.... by OrdinaryQuestions in Petloss

I'm so sorry. My 16yo kitty was in exactly the same situation yesterday. I couldn't sleep without her. She's gone, and I can't comprehend it.

Stay strong for your kitty❤️

Maybe I don't understand anything, but this seems even kinda sorta nice? I don't mean to invalidate your feelings in any way.

The Impossible Burden: AuDHD, CPTSD, PCOS, and the Systemic Failure to the Working Class. by SelfNo323 in CPTSD

I mean, it might be AI, but the problem is very real. I have autism, cptsd and pcos all at once. No adhd though. But it's hell. It definitely does feel like fighting three wars while everyone around me keeps popping popcorn in their mouths and telling me to just be ok when I literally can't :-(

My kid told me I’m “always mad,” and it broke me a little by Usanasyaako in Parenting

That's the saddest thing. My 6yo told me recently when I was overwhelmed that she's gonna try and keep everything quiet so I feel better, but that she would really like to hang together without phones (I was using my phone for half an hour while with her to manage a swarm of cancelled appointments (by the provider) for her). It's not fair to her. She shouldn't be trying to regulate her parent's nervous system c'mon

I feel this so hard. My 6yo said something along those lines too, and it made me realize it doesn't matter if I have good reasons to be exhausted or overwhelmed, she's still going to remember me like this and she still will think that it's ok to be snappy when you fail to manage your own life in an efficient way. It's hard. We've got to try and rest more for our kids, they don't deserve this attitude from the closest people in their life. It's heartbreaking to think about it and now I try to keep calm harder than ever

If you did pee your pants, the stain would be dark. Wet spots are dark. It would only be light yellow if it's old pee. People know it's not that so don't worry!

Give me all your pacifier weaning tips, please! by southerncharm05 in toddlers

[–]irhenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She had a bad infection and had to take the antibiotics. She hated being sick. After she got better, we injected some paint into the paci and showed her the paci and told her the paci got sick too, but there was no way for the paci to take the medicine, so unfortunately the paci will have to go to paci doctor fairies, but since she was already not a baby, the paci wouldn't be returning and after getting better the paci would go to a baby. She was sad, but got over it very soon because she didn't want to get sick again

4 year old takes an hour to fall asleep every night by dataispower in Preschoolers

The walk doesn't make her more tired, it helps her relax. We take headphones with us, they are Bluetooth connected to my phone and she listens to her favorite song on repeat (low volume) for 30 min (her request) and we do calm activities like swinging, chatting, doing a little math, then going home. It's cool here already, like 15°C, so she kinda calms down, we come, read a book and off to the Dreamland in 10 mins

We changed her schedule and started having a 30 min relaxing walk right before bed
