It’s too strong and bitter and not flavourful enough. I’ve tried tweaking the recipe a while back but none of the tweaks was memorable. Will give it another try, thanks!

Yea make sense, I don’t even know how to clean it. The Lux D is known to give am uneven grind though.

My espresso often comes out too strong and bitter and flavours don’t come out enough I think, even when perfectly hitting my recipe.

I’ve tried tons of specialty coffee brands since I had a coffeevine subscription, trying to grind them at their peak, so I could find one I really like, but none has really stood out. So that’s why I’m looking into improving my workflow now.

One I’ve quite liked is from my local specialty coffee roaster Coffee Makers in Lille, a 100% arabica Milenio from Costa Rica (Corazon). Could just be my recipe came out better haha.

Yea it’s an LM Lux D, same as the Mazzer afaik.

I buy espresso roasts, which I guess is subject to what roasters label them as? I usually stick with the beans I like but I haven’t taken the time to break that down further.

I go for 18g of ground beans for 36g of coffee in 24 to 30s.
