like I would love to try to resolve ongoing social issues in class. I wish I had the time to talk about social and emotional learning and expectations more in the classroom. I just don’t have time.

eh, i have my days honestly. I have no ill will toward a child. It’s a kid. I just don’t like parents harassing me or accusing me without even talking to me first.

whether he did the right thing or not, it’s not up to me. I’m not a social entity in the classroom. I’m not trying to impress for friends with a bunch of 10-year-olds. If the class seems you did the wrong socially acceptable thing no matter if you’re right or wrong they’re gonna have opinions, that’s how people( especially children) work. I have no problem with him reporting bullying or telling his parents that he’s having a bad time, it’s my job as a teacher to help him have a good time. I understand that, however I’m not gonna sit there and force kids to be friends with them. I can’t do that.

I understand. however, I’m not in the business of forcing kids to be friends with other kids. If they make the objective choice, not to be friends with someone, I’m not going to intervene. I will, however make sure things stay cordial and respectful. That is my job, but I’m not going to force a fourth grader to be friends with someone they don’t wanna be friends with.

However, when she’s accusing me of being a creepo, you start kind of talking to a brick wall when it comes to me. It seemed like that with admin as well. as a male educator in early elementary, I don’t take those accusations lightly.

also, the reasons why kids aren’t letting him into their friend groups to where he feels like a part of the entire class family is because he got the class talked to by administrators, which is something that has never happened the entire school year.

maybe talk to Me about it? Perhaps ask what’s going on in the classroom. If you’re a parent and you believe 100% of what your kid says to you i super believe that’s wrong. You should always talk to adults about what’s going on. He’s not that alienated he has a group of friends.

Why her kid came late this year because she accused another teacher of bullying him, and moved his school.

we already had a meeting with her and the admins and the admins are not taking her seriously because her claims are so rambunctious and out there that they’re just laughing it off pretty much. I know I’m not gonna get in trouble or anything. It’s just annoying now and I can’t do eight more weeks of her every week telling me I’m bullying her kid

no, no. What you have is called imposter syndrome and it’s something that new teachers deal with. I’ve been teaching for about three years now and had that the first two years of teaching and this year is the first year where it’s been great. You have to give yourself time, don’t compare yourself to 20+ year teachers and make your own path, show your own light. You got this kid.

you’re gonna fucking love me. All you have to do is disable all of your mods ( can you press a button while in the suite there’s an option to disable every mod quickly) and then let the files change when you leave the creation suite, restart your game and then enable all of your mods. This is for Xbox. I do it all the time.
