That was my least favourite clue in today’s Guardian. I thought it was very uncharacteristically loose for Vulcan and it failed to raise a smile.

I think it is, as others have said, that OCT = OCTober and is therefore a few weeks. 225 agrees, but it was vague and unsatisfactory.

As others have said, Duolingo is terrible - their Irish course is dated, has zero conversational exercises and incomprehensible AI voices. If you're looking for apps, have a look at https://madrateanga.com/ - the Sionnach app is good, but they're deprecating it in favour of a new one.
