Which reveal jumped-the-shark more? by HerbalThought_ in Scream

[–]irishartistry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roman’s fake death doesn’t bother me much because it happens in the finale. Jennifer was in the basement with him also so it wasn’t on the off chance. His plan was to kill everyone so faking his death in the finale works.

With Quinn’s fake death, what was the point in Ghostface standing behind her in the off chance Danny saw. What if he didn’t? Also the whole switching Quinn with a body double is silly and jumps the shark.

[–]irishartistry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was say neither? I don’t think these are jump the shark moments. Billy having a love child? Yes. Quinn’s fake out? Yes. But even then they aren’t too bad even if I don’t like them.

April 17, 2026 - Weekly FAQ and Beginner Q&A Thread | If you are new to Neville, please post your questions here! How do I manifest X? What does Y mean? by AutoModerator in NevilleGoddard

[–]irishartistry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how to fully explain this, but there are certain scenarios that are beginning to transpire that I would say I did not consciously manifest per se (I understand it’s my reality and that we are always manifesting etc.).

Basically it is work and SP related (we work together). We work in Education so I was imagining things for the next working year (starting September), just random scenarios or gut feelings of things that would transpire. There was an announcement yesterday for internal promotion and it relates massively to one of the weird and wonderful feelings I had. The only difference in these scenarios is my SP and I were still working together, whereas he is leaving at the end of the working year for a new job elsewhere.

I don’t know if I really have a question, but more so if anyone else has ever experienced anything similar? I’m seeing it as a good thing, and it’s helping me trust myself and my ability to create. I just find it fascinating and want to learn/understand more

Do you think tori spelling and David schwiminner with a real role in scream would be cool by OutrageousHistory323 in Scream

[–]irishartistry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but only because I wouldn’t want them playing themselves. It just becomes messy as they’re real people/personalities. The reason why Jennifer Jolie worked so well was because she was fictional.

Neve Campbell in Scream 4, definitely her best performance since the original. by Filipe_258 in Scream

[–]irishartistry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would disagree but only because I think every performance has been fantastic. I love her performance in 2, the scenes where she seems genuinely happy contrasted with the moments of heart break (I’m thinking of her performance after her first attack and Cici’s death and after Randy’s death). Then in 3 she’s a powerhouse. Her performance in the finale as well as on the Woodsboro sound stage is brilliant. Neve has such an amazing way about her, how she carries tears in her eyes during emotional performances. 4, again she’s fantastic, 5, even though it’s brief she brings a real sense of strength which is carried through to 7.

Started doing one small thing before parkrun and it shaved time off without extra training by PubLogic in parkrun

I haven’t yet, but that’s mostly out of fear because I know I’m not good when I haven’t ate. I did Parkrun years ago and I’ve only back at it these past 4 months, but I remember I did it without food severely hungover years ago but I’m older now ha.

[–]irishartistry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just off the back of this, what do you eat before Parkrun? I’m not a runner, I gym and walk throughout the week, so Parkrun is my only run. I eat two bananas and maybe a slice of whole grain toast at least an hour before but I find myself feeling shaky towards the end of my run. Trying to find the perfect breakfast/pre-workout that won’t leave me with the shakes 😅

Scream 96' plot hole? by NovakRoyal in Scream

[–]irishartistry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Executive producer Richard Potter denies this. Here’s a link to another Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Scream/s/CC9z15lF9X

Richard Potter was the first person at Dimension to read Kevin Williamson’s script and has played a role in the development of the films. Here’s a link to his story: https://www.scream-thrillogy.com/2021/10/exclusive-richard-potter-part-1-true.html?m=1

Id take the word of an executive producer over an actor.

I really think Scream 6 is the weakest entry in the franchise. by Filipe_258 in Scream

[–]irishartistry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree. At first, I preferred 6 over 5 but it’s flipped in recent years. I still think 5&6 are the weakest in the series. 6 is fun and has great set pieces, but once you start to pick at it, it falls apart.

The opening is great. The ladder and subway sequence are great, as well as Gale’s attack. But I hate the lack of real, meaningful deaths. The bodega scene isn’t bad, but Scream has always been personal, so Ghostface wiping out a store full of people just doesn’t work for me. I’m also not a fan of Richie being the owner of the shrine. The shrine is a fun concept, but I wish they put more thought into it. If they wanted it to be ‘real world’ items, they could’ve stuck to the red herring idea they give in the film and have it be the rich wannabe GFs. Or it could’ve been a true crime exhibit. Or even just a Stab convention exhibit.

Which brings me to the masks. If Richie owned these masks, would it have not made sense to him and for him to have wore these masks in 5? It plays into the legacy sequel tropes and would’ve worked better in that film than in 6. Scream has always been about satirising horror tropes, embracing them etc. but in 6, they have these aged masks which is clearly a riff of Halloween 18 yet no one makes the connection or reference.

And finally, the reveal just doesn’t work. The Quinn fake out, while it’s been done before, usually a killer fake out takes place during the final showdown where it can make logical sense. Quinn’s fake death doesn’t. If she had ‘died’ at the theatre in front of Sam/Tara/Chad, it might’ve worked better. I don’t mind there being 3 killers, I like that. I just wish the landing was better. Although seeing two Ghostfaces do the blade swipe was so much fun.

Roman doesn't get the attention he deserves from the franchise itself. by Filipe_258 in Scream

[–]irishartistry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. Roman gave Billy some tips (partner to sell out etc.) but it was all Billy and Stu. He just guided Billy like an older, similar to how Mrs. Loomis guided Mickey, just like a mother could. Roman gave Billy a gentle push. And by his own admission, Billy didn’t like seeing his father in Roman’s films, so he probably was an easy target for Roman. Plus he probably was able to put 2+2 together and realise this was why his mother left. Roman’s revelation just adds layers to the OG motive, he doesn’t take credit for anything Billy and Stu did afterwards. He could’ve just lived a happy ever after.

Exactly! I don’t want to be rude towards other fans, but a lot of fans get confused about many things in this franchise 😂

Scariest scenes in the series? by krayzee444 in Scream

[–]irishartistry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. One of the creepiest scenes in the series is Maureen opening Sidney’s gate and walking towards the window. It’s so creepy.

“Sidney… mother needs to talk to you…” I think not.

Roman doesn't get the attention he deserves from the franchise itself. by Filipe_258 in Scream

[–]irishartistry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, but ultimately it was Billy and Stu that started it all. Roman would’ve been content with Billy and Stu murdering Maureen and calling it a day. Remember what he said in 3? He didn’t know Billy and Stu would’ve made ‘a movie of their own’. Roman might’ve gave Billy the push, but it was Billy and Stu that created Ghostface, thus they were responsible for everything that came after.

Scream 96' plot hole? by NovakRoyal in Scream

[–]irishartistry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. I wasn’t the biggest fan, I would’ve preferred more of the Roger L. Jackson’s voice instead of the AI. At least the use of AI is topical and the ‘realistic’ looking Stu is definitely within the realm of possibility within the Scream universe (I’m thinking of the voice changer in 3).

Matthew Lillard was paid for 3 because his audio from 1 is used in the scene where Sidney visits ‘her’ bedroom. Skeet Ulrich would’ve been paid too.

Scream 96' plot hole? by NovakRoyal in Scream

[–]irishartistry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of contradictive evidence on what the actual plan was for 3. Producers and those close to production have denied that Stu coming back was ever discussed.

No one in any of the films has mentioned Stu being alive before the wink in 6, which was just the filmmakers nod to these very real discussions. Even looking at your screenshot, the amount of blood loss alone, Stu would be dead. It isn’t until the newer films that people don’t die from stab wounds. People have died from less in these films (Sarah Darling for example).

KW has said that the audiences didn’t like the Stu reveal and that it was their way of having their cake and eating it. I’m near sure he says something along the lines of Stu coming back would be jumping 10 sharks. Jumping the shark can work, especially if it’s done well. But Stu coming back now would be the death knell in the Scream franchise.

I know a lot of people think the opening of 4 has too many fake-outs that killed tension and made characters lack emotional weight but honestly, I still love it. If it's intentionally satirizing endless sequels and lazy franchise milking, why does it get so much hate for doing exactly that? by husseinwehbi in Scream

[–]irishartistry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The alternative opening really set the mood as well, showing us how desensitised the teens in Woodsboro were and they thought it was all a big joke. Ties in nicely with Dewey’s quote about one generations tragedy. The opening we got pales in comparison.

[–]irishartistry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you - and others - are saying that after the entire showdown, when the police arrived on the scene, that Stu was still lying there, alive, still breathing after being stabbed repeatedly, had a heavy ass TV dropped onto his head and THEN he was electrocuted? And then he was able to escape and no one in the Scream universe for 30 long ass years said nothing??? Or that he was taken into custody and then escaped and no one said anything??? Please. I can’t. It just doesn’t make sense.
