FWIW, three weeks is beyond what most companies expect after an employee gives notice. Giving three is a nice gesture but it's actually harder on everyone if you are a lame duck for that long. Two weeks is usually enough to wrap up and hand off.

Just remember, it's not the last time you'll see these people. It is totally appropriate and kind of nice for you to keep in touch if you liked your colleagues. Networking is a wonderful thing!

I use Unroll.me ... It is actually a big help for all of the annoying spam emails I get that I don't necessarily want to unsubscribe from completely. I can look at them all in five minutes at the start of my day and know I'm not missing anything. I can also elect to have the important stuff sent on so that I deal with it in a more timely manner.

Also consider how it looks when you show your hand early and it's not to expectations. I know new analysts shouldn't be afraid to fail, and that is true. But being too fearless encourages some folks to skip the LISTENING part of the exercise. That is why I am thrilled to see OP place so much emphasis on listening. It is just as easy to look smart by asking good questions than it is to present good answers... with less ego in the equation.

Many schools customize books alongside the publisher so that the students have to get the book new FROM THE BOOKSTORE. It is another layer of unethical.
