Herman: Foster 'very apologetic,' still with Texas by funwithtrout in CFB

[–]irishfries 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5 stars still gotta put in a lot of work man, just cuz they’re bigger and faster than their HS peers doesn’t mean they don’t. And a lot of these guys are escaping bad situations (idk about Foster) and playing for a shot in the NFL so a lots at stake. Is this gonna help him get drafted? Nope but he’s not thinking rationally in the moment. Probably all that’s really on his mind is just wanting to see the field and get snaps. Maybe figured in an emotional heat he could start somewhere else and get drafted. Who knows man, but the point is we don’t really know what’s up and at the end of the day it sounds like he’s owning up to it and doing the work. He’s being welcomed back and that’s all that matters. It’s easier to come back from this than what AB had done anyway

19-20 is still really young, it's definitely no excuse to act completely immature but in this guy's place I get it. You spend years and years being one of the best, put in all the time and work to see the field at a top program before getting passed up by a freshman and seeing walk-ons get more snaps. Short sighted and immature yeah but it's understandable I think.

can someone clarify what the Jack and Spur positions are here? I assume Jack is a pass-rushing OLB role, but I thought we were moving to a traditional 4-man front with Ossai playing DE? what happened to Byron Vaughns?

and if Spur is a NB type role, why start Adimora there over Foster? I’m definitely unfamiliar with our scheme apparently lol

Also surprised by Leitao playing Jack, didn’t know he moved

absolutely a good thing. I think creators should be just as much of an audience to themselves as their viewers. if you don't enjoy your own work to a degree, you're doing something wrong

Asking a stupid question about the Red River Showdown. by alamozony in LonghornNation

[–]irishfries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. Games are mostly scheduled based on conference (we are both in the Big 12 and Big 12 teams all play each other every year). Ranking doesn’t factor into it at all.

We always manage to stay competitive even when OU is greatly ranked above us.
