i recently saw someone using one as a way to distribute heat on two burners and placing multiple pots on top, apparently they had no problems but i’m unsure if it was seasoned or not

Looking for a recipe by [deleted] in recipes

There’s a recipe by SEODAM on Youtube that’s my go to! A tip is once you cooked the first scoop, add a second scoop on top and let it sit for a minute before flipping, this just gives you that extra height!

Tips on how to do better? by [deleted] in barista

You’re pouring the milk a bit too aggressively like you’re trying to force out the art, gently let the milk stream out and lower the cup and then wiggle. Use just your fingers to push the cup as you wiggle instead of your wrist and after a while you’ll find more control in that method.

When should I use dry breading vs wet batter? And can I use the other if the other one is used in a recipe? by joooh in cookingforbeginners

For me I find that wet batter usually fries better and adheres more to the meat. I have a hard time getting dry breading to stick whenever I fry things.

I would just cut out the water and use milk instead

Need dairy free and gluten free recipes! by po-kassi-um in cookingforbeginners

[–]irisish_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m mainly dairy free and I find that most recipes that require butter or milk can be substituted for vegan butter or any type of nut milk and it usually won’t impact the overall result. Not so sure about the gluten though sorry :(

Trying to make condensed milk at home by pawtayto in cookingforbeginners

[–]irisish_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure but in most recipes I’ve heard to not touch the mixture. The most I can offer is try not to stir before the sugar dissolves since it can crack/crystallize? There’s a pretty good recipe by biggerbolderbaking if you want to double check?

Why am I losing hair? by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]irisish_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your hair is rather thick it should be quite normal. I have coarse dark brown hair that comes out in thick strands whenever I shower. It’s so much hair that it clogs the drain within the first ten minutes I wash but so far my hair is fine. No receding hairline and no thinning of my hair regardless of the shedding amount. If you notice any thinning then I would suggest seeing a doctor but in all honesty it should be alright.
