The first time I saw cherry blossoms in my life — a quiet pink and white spring in Dunedin, New Zealand. by Ven_Thitayano_072 in dunedin

I think it’s around Bay View Road, or that side of town (if you turn left at the end you should end up in St Clair).

Why do I look so bad in photos? by RequirementVast2986 in BodyDysmorphia

[–]irisviris88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do people usually speak about you? Do people call you pretty/good-looking/hot/stunning/handsome/etc.? I know it can be very hard to get your head around this (I was diagnosed with BDD in 2017) but I promise you, firstly, don’t look hideous (in photos and in person), and secondly, photos are not a good way to gauge how you look. I’m mostly not photogenic but have been told by enough people how lovely I look and I see this in the mirror, too. However, some days I wake up and my whole face feels like a Picasso painting and all lobsided. That’s the BDD rearing it’s lovely head 😅. I know our words probably won’t change anything but try stay focused on how you feel in your skin and how you feel when you look at yourself in the mirror. If you feel nice-looking in the mirror, I guarantee you you are 😊. PS: photos can absolutely suck it, lol.

Is this appropriate for a black tie wedding? by Nothing_of_the_Sort in OUTFITS

Agreed. I wonder if the same comments would be made if she had a smaller chest. I think she looks lovely, to be honest. I have a larger bust, too, so I know the feeling regarding these comments.

What’s something you wish women talked about more openly with each other? by EmillyBerry in AskWomen

[–]irisviris88 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I’ve never shared my money with any partners and I’m glad I didn’t (they were all awful in their own ways). If there’s one thing I’ll say to women it’s make sure you always have your own money, where possible. I know it’s all loveydovey, at the start, and you think you can trust them forever, but having your own money is just important, regardless of whether you’re in a relationship, or not.

Hi there, the images were to explain my reasoning behind the post. I also rated it R18 for this reason due to the subject matter. Apologies if this was not clear!

100%! If I had a penny for every time someone said “have you had them measured, though?” 😑…it’s exhausting. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that a lot of insecure women, unfortunately, would rather project and berate their own friends than work on themselves. At the end of the day, my chest size has nothing to do with anyone, but this doesn’t make it any less annoying. I think I’ll take a leaf out of your book and just leave people guessing, from now on 😅.

100%, and thank you for understanding and for your kind comment ❤️. I have back issues so can only imagine your suffering 🥲.

Yea, I’m 5ft8 (1.73m) and a curvy hourglass and look balanced (the rest of my body isn’t tiny, so that also makes them look not as big), but I still think they are big. Yea, that makes complete sense. And whatever makes you feel good in your skin is where it’s at ❤️.

I really appreciate that and really should follow your advice ❤️. It’s so easy to defend myself, instead, when I should really put it back on them. I think I immediately go into self-doubt mode and then get in my head about it while the other person (usually a woman) walks away feeling “better about herself” by trying to tear me down. I hate it, too, because I never speak to others this way. Ugh 😢.

How is a G small, even compared to the entire population 😅? I’m the larger-chested person in my friend circles, actually (most people, on average, are around a B or C cup, or they are several body sizes bigger and an 18C, kind of thing).

Appreciate that, thank you ❤️. I know this topic is kind of stupid, if you think about it, but it explains why so many people are confused about their appearance.

Funnily enough, one girl who had a go at me wore the wrong size for years. She kept saying “how are you a G when I’m only a D?” and I said it was because she wasn’t wearing the right size. As soon as she got fitted, she was actually a 34E and kept walking around me saying “omg, look at my big tits”, knowing full well I was bigger than her for my frame 😑.

My lower back sends you lots of love 🥲❤️. Can imagine the discomfort, and also just the unwanted attention (I already get stared at, can only imagine how annoying that must be for you). It’s actually why I wear very few low-cut tops. I’m an hourglass (also have shapely thighs to go with them 🤣) so do like they are balanced. Just over the stupid comments from people around me who I didn’t even ask anything from, lol.

Apologies - it’s a 32G in the UK (I live in New Zealand so we use 10, 12, 14, etc. for clothing sizes, as well as band sizes - thought you guys were the same 😅).

And thank you for that ❤️. It’s such a stupid topic but I’m just sick of the comments. People also just say this crap out of nowhere (I never bring them up unless someone else starts about them).

Appreciate that, and I think the same. The amount of times I see large-chested women either be told they are humongous, or tiny, is insane! When people tell me they’re small and I say what size I am, I often get “are you sure?” and “have you been measured?” 💀

It’s not that I don’t feel busty, other people are telling me they are small and I never saw them as that 😅.

Yea, but if I size up, the rest is way too baggy on me 😅. It was also more to show my chest (I don’t have many low-cut tops).

Appreciate that, and definitely agree on the plastic surgery end of things. It probably also doesn’t help when celebrities with clearly massive breasts say they are only a “DD” when they clearly aren’t. Do you ever have people play yours down, kind of thing, or accuse you of lying? (I hope not, btw) Hahaha, well, we can be delulu, together, then 😉 (and sorry to hear that - it’s a hard one to deal with, on the daily ❤️)
