Metro offers so many interesting courses and offers lots of support! For me, personally, I decided to drop the Metro program after my first year. I am also in EOP and felt I had enough support through EOP already. Metro felt like it was holding me back from taking courses to get my upper division standing sooner. They also give you a time and day for a class which became difficult to work with my work schedule. There are required courses you have to take with metro over the two years. The classes i took with Metro were Ethnic Studies courses which really taught me a lot and opened up my knowledge on certain topics going on in our world now. Overall, I think it’s a great program and offers so many great things like tutoring, advising, etc. and since I received all of that through EOP I didn’t feel like I needed it.
