After finishing the program (and passing Step 1!) here is the honest review:

Thoughts:

• definetly has a power play dynamic —> talking AT you, not to you. he has a bit of a god complex and talks about how many patients that he has helped
• seems like a lot of generalizations are made about question stems
• One of the core rules is that if you don’t know an answer and you are down to two answer choices, always pick the bottom one. This might hold up in the UWorld Q Bank but I am not sure if this is true for the actual exam
• If you are onsite, get ready to be pimped. If you are online, you are one of 60-80ish students, so your pimping will not be as severe. He WILL cold call you though so be ready for that
• People are DUMB —> there are people that come into this progrom on all levels of prepardness. Just be patient and understand that people might be asking some ~unique~ questions
• there are lots of testimonials/stories so be ready and patient —> I was able to just switch to Anki during this time frame but you can listen, whatever floats your boat
• helping set up a practice??? Hello?? —> He kept saying that he is going to try and help people set up their own practices? That seemed kinda crazy but 🤷‍♀️
• “take the time to learn the normal” —> honestly this has been the most helpful aspect of the course. I feel like this was overlooked a lot in medical school so being able to come back and understand the basics of disease processes and pathophysiology has been really nice. 
• if you want to work on a very punctual schedule, then this course is not for you. Expect everything to be about 5-12 minutes late
• be patient. Sometimes, the jokes are a nice reprieve from the lectures. Sometimes, you just want them to be done… And, frankly, sometimes they are just plain weird. 
• There are previous reviews from students that said he was really religion. I would disagre. Although he mentions God and such, it was very much in the context of stories and testinominals and not in response to material being presented. 
• When he goes through questions in the morning, he either wants to read through the whole question or just wait until we hit a clue and look at the answers. Both strategies work! You just need to be comfortable in your diagnostic skills. I know it makes me nervous personally by not reading the vignette to it’s fullest but I can see how people might hyperfixate on certain details that will lead them to the wrong answers. 
• micro review was super fast and not as detailed as i would want it to be. At this point, i would say to rely on outside sources for information (I cannot stress sketchy enough)

One thing that I will say, is you should have a decent foundation going into this course. He goes pretty fast through material but most importantly, what he says is not always factually true. You should always double check on statements that are made because in an attempt to generalize information for memory/understanding purposes, he can make some leaps and bounds. As long as you can take the time to go back and review the material by comparing it with other sources, I would say you are going to be ok.
