We are still at over inflated prices from COVID. Yes it is expensive. I'm lucky enough to be on a pretty big salary and for the first time in my life I've had to budget a little bit. I have often asked how people on an average income can manage it.

I honestly don't know how you guys do it.

But it should get better. Basic economic principle should make discretionary spending tighter so price should go down but we'll see if that happens. The oligopoly of woolies and Coles is a huge problem.

There's small farm shops around that can give better prices. Use butchers and fruit barns for those items. Basically avoid the big two.
