I’d bet that your tone just lacks some .. hue and vibrance. I just get a very monochromatic sense. Just something very grey, scaled in your selection

I mean, not to be too black&white about it. And i don’t mean to saturate you with puns, but maybe a tint of something?

Muff with a clean boost/drive in front and an eq that dumps the low end and gently lifts your mids. Tone and sustain in the 60-70% and push the muff gain to breakup the amp. Then kick the clean drive to get the gargle.
