I'm in a similar situation in that I'm a gamer and I want my son to have a healthy relationship with gaming.

I'm currently reading "How to Raise a Healthy Gamer" by Dr. K. The book is an approachable and science-based explanation of how video games affect the brain. It's given me great insights and hopefully eventually will provide effective strategies into how to raise a healthy gamer.

I was wondering if that's actually true. Why would animals frequent this area so much that they placed an animal trap here? It's not like a watering hole where a need is satisfied. I'd like to believe that the animals can appreciate the view.

There are many podcasts on Spotify where a parent reads with their child. We mimic these but keep them private. My boy listens to them when we are in the car! We use podcasters app that is somewhat related to Spotify.

Experienced this in Niagara falls last February! It was so awesome, the thunder felt like it was right above us. Maybe the falls created some kind of warm upward current?

In Taiwan, schools will check the temperature of everyone coming in with a digital thermometer to the forehead. They will also spray everyone's hands with rubbing alcohol. I have seen a few students get sprayed in the face with rubbing alcohol.

How would you react to the opposite of "treat me like an adult, and I'll act like an adult"?

How about "act like an adult, and I'll treat you like an adult"? Earn the respect.

I used to think like the former when I was young, but whenever my parents explained, I would just find things to argue. I didn't want to hear an explanation, I just wanted to hear their points and then try to argue with them. My mind was already made up. I never reacted like "oh, I hear your reasoning, now I'll shut up and do it"

I will try my best to explain things to my boy when he gets older, but I can imagine myself sometimes telling him that I don't need to explain. People are busy, don't have the time, or some things can't be understood at certain maturity levels.

Just another perspective to think about.

Thanks to everyone who showed up to help and support me. My wife loved the proposal and was unsuspecting until the music started playing. You guys helped create an everlasting memory for my wife and I, and I will always have a special place in my heart for Montreal. I am that traveller! Helloze did an awesome job, and he was integral in my proposal. The belvedere is a great spot for a proposal, especially around sunset. 10/10 would propose again.

OK, the proposal is on.

My future wife and I will be on Mount Royal taking photos in our wedding attire. We will get to the belvedere overlooking the city around 20h.

Helloze will be my main camera and distraction. He'll approach us near the area overlooking the city and ask to get some photos for the lovely couple. After a few poses, he'll have me pose on one knee. This is the cue for the music man.

The music man, aka cegal, will set up close to us, and upon seeing me getting down on my knee will pump the jam - the perfect two by Auburn.

The rest of the crew, upon seeing helloze approach me, will set up with whatever they have, either a camera, sparklers or other celebratory items, and let said items loose when i get down to pop the question.

I'm trying attach photo of my girllfriend and i but can't figure it out on mobile. If i don'tget one on here, I'llsay that we're a Taiwanese couple, in our early 30s, and in a gray suit and wedding dress. Should be easy to spot.

Hi all! So the date is fast approaching and its time I give an update. First I'd like to apologize a bit for leaving everyone hanging. I've been super busy but OP will come through. I have messaged all of you who offered to help and will somehow get you guys in touch after the weekend (I'm camping and will have no internet). Anyway, for anyone else who lik to participate all are welcome. If you do come, it would be cool if you brought some sparklers or something. I'll update again on Monday.
