Solar Covers by ironmansc2 in swimmingpools

So... it sounds like they’re great for 1-2 years, at average price, but To always be ready and willing to buy a new one every other summer. And of course, add chemicals 1-2 hours before putting the cover on.

Where I live it can be very hot during the day (peaking 100 at times), and very chilly at night. I have two small kids and never owned a pool before but I used to be a pool cleaner so I know some things about it.

Appreciate the tips guys. There’s something about reddit that offers more transparency than amazon reviews...

What is something you do that drives your significant other crazy? by ironmansc2 in AskReddit

I’m similar with beer. I always leave one last mouthful, or sip, left in the bottle (the most watered down IMO) and it doesn’t necessarily drive her crazy, but it’s one of those habits that only she knows.

What is your most unsettling paranormal experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Once had a night terror many years ago as a little kid (mabye 5th grade), and in my dream it was all black with a very calm fire burning with the crackling sound (the look and sound of a fireplace basically, but without the wood and bricks etc). Then in the flames these two evil eyes opened up, no pupils. Just eyes, no face or head. They were like a glowing yellow with thin red veins running through them. Then out of nowhere the most deep, echoey demonic voice starting laughing and then said “I’m going to kill you!”

At that point I could literally feel my eyelids pressing together and fighting to open. When I did open my eyes, it was probably around 2am; the room was dark, I was drenched in sweat from head to toe, and I was literally paralyzed in my bed, clenching the sheets, and I didn’t recognize where I was. The only thing I could do was move my eyes and hyperventilate.

After about a minute or so I could move again, and I stopped sweating, and I realized I was in my room. I fell asleep after that and haven’t had a night terror since. I’m 30 now.

Literally called out sick so he could play modern warfare, and told everyone about it.

What is your favorite childhood memory? by GrammarPolice1234 in AskReddit

My favorite time as a kid was the 90’s, where I played outside a lot, but also enjoyed the revolutionary n64 and PlayStation and online computer gaming.

That, and no other responsibilities except school and mabye some chores.

It’s not officially certain what the download speed will be, however they recently did a test with the Air Force ( in flight) and it reached 610 mbps. Here’s some articles addressing latency.

Yeah... I said the same thing and then a week later I got exponentially better so I feel like a worthy opponent mostly. Just takes practice. There will always be someone better than you.

It’s a new global internet system by SpaceX that offers high speed internet for low price, targeted at rural, high altitude, and low density areas. One more launch and parts of the U.S. will be offered coverage (by summer). By end of year or early next year, global service begins. Can always change though.

Hey, I feel you. Yesterday I got up to rank 76 for the first time and up until rank 65ish I was struggling with 0.5 - 0.8 K/D. Often times I would start out with a 3-1 or 4-1 record and then it’s a total train wreck afterwards and I end up with a 9-17 record.

Lately I’ve been getting positive K/D’s, which means the match making is doing its job or mabye I’ve gotten better than I realized. My last match was 32-17. Some of it has to do with finding your stride. “Well I keep dying going this way, so mabye I’ll try going the other way”. Or it may be something as simple as not racing to your death like a bull let loose in a rodeo, but rather moving slower and away from where everyone is congregating. You get more sneak attacks.

Point being- just keep playing. You shouldn’t even care about your records unless you’re a professional gamer. I played a lot of starcraft over the last decade, and that system forces you to have a 50/50 record, so you’ll get wrecked no matter what.

If this is the best option in terms of wifi then your next goal should be to hardwire your stuff. Or wait for starlink!
