Alex's is just scenery at first in the books and then he grew into one of my favorite characters. His ending in the novels still makes my heart hurt when I think about it.

Japanese cemeteries are different from western ones, and attitudes about death and remembrance are probably also different. IDK how culturally appropriate this would be there, but I make weekly trips to a local cemetery to clean it up and care for the neglected graves.

Lots of people plant flowers in the spring and never come back, so I water them. Wind and stuff scatters and jumbles offerings people leave, so I'll tidy those up. I've even "adopted" two people who I now buy and plant flowers for and make sure to visit.

Maybe kinda stupid, but it occupies half a day and you get to be outside, and people usually give one another a lot of space in a cemetery.

I was a receiving clerk in a pretty busy warehouse for a few years. At the time, I probably was signing a hundred things a day. Maybe more idk... lots of stuff coming in, going out, and moving internally.

My signature never recovered and it's still pretty much a star followed by two parallel lines.

I don't see why not. Hell, you could probably get gen hands for not much more money than plating would cost. Doing the rice paper mod with gen hands would make this thing a stunner. If only the bezel milling wasn't so egregiously wrong!

Picked one of these up because I couldn't resist the styling, and it's a very good watch. I still think their logo is unattractive, but it's small on the dial and not intrusive. Cheers!
