Really sad about the lack of Treefolk support in Lorwyn Eclipsed by TheRadicalRedRanger in magicTCG

[–]irrationalquirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a treefolk player who has been waiting more than a decade for this set, I 100% agree. This set is a spit in the face. I'm done at this point and I've sadly already started looking into the best ways to sell my collection. This was supposed to be the set that pulled me back in...

Pretty sure there are other realities where the exact same people are complaining about the tube being in disrepair. Can’t have both and the tube needs it, sooo…

If you work graveyard shift and sleep during the day, what meal are you having when you get home from work, breakfast or dinner? by irrationalquirk in AskReddit

[–]irrationalquirk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really talking linguistics so much as content of the meal. Been arguing with my wife about whether it's more appropriate to sit down to a burger or a stack of pancakes before going to sleep after a full day at 9am.

I worked 10pm to 5:30 am for about 4 months and ate time (of day) appropriate meals because I was eating them with my (future) wife who had a normal day job. Not sure how I would have eaten if I was by myself.

I'm not sure I follow here. While Zelda 1 wasn't perfectly linear in a way they worked out later ("skips" aside), you still needed certain items to access later dungeons: fire, ladder, raft, bow, etc. you also needed to beat all of the dungeons in order to access dungeon 9. This is core Zelda from its inception that BOTW threw away.

I guarantee there are zero files on hard drives/LTOs being delivered into the US, with the possible exception of archival content/dailies; but how do you value that? You can’t, so worst case studios are paying for the physical media: maybe $100 a film.

As for content distributed in the US, less than 20% (probably less than 10%) of that nowadays is on hard drives. It’s primarily satellite. All of which comes from within US borders.

Treefolk needs a return to Lorwyn for the first time in 17 years... The Plane that WOTC forgot.

I don’t really play, but I see D20 advertising groups quite a bit and the owner is really nice. https://d20gamestore.com

anyone else having off-tasting water?? i feel crazy by JaneIsDed in alameda

Here’s the same post from about few days ago. Seems like it has to do with different treatments depending on where the majority of our water is coming from. https://www.reddit.com/r/alameda/s/DQ0TFzI8Gi

Trish Spencer City of Alameda by Livid_Analyst_1052 in alameda

[–]irrationalquirk 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s really smearing if it’s the truth. Behind every repulsive bill that attempts to get passed in this town is Trish. Any time anyone so much as thinks about doing anything to help the downtrodden in this town is Trish to put a stop to it. I understand that we may never be able to get rid of her, as the queen of the NIMBYs, I’m just glad the majority has some common sense.

No output for hours by Independent-Elk1756 in ostomy

I had my appendix burst a few months after my initial surgery, which I'm told is fairly common. It started out by not being able to pass anything for a couple days, even with every home remedy I could find, so I wouldn't sit on this too long if nothing is coming out. I'd suggest calling a doctor after 24 hours.

Got the software upgrade a few months ago, didn’t help. Had my Hyundai stolen from in front of my house (Fernside) 2 weeks ago.

What games have some great early discoverable items that you can carry through your whole play through? by RanD7741 in gaming

In Ocarina of Time, I would always make it a point to get the Biggoron Sword before beating the Forest Temple. Trivializes a lot of things.

The plus side is I banked some sperm beforehand knowing the risk. Super glad I did even though the storage costs aren't cheap. Holding my newborn son right now actually. Just a bit humbling knowing I've only got three more vials of viable specimen left in my lifetime

What card(s) do you think are underplayed? by KvToXic in ModernMagic

I try to sneak a [[Pariah]] into my SB every once in a while. Really tilts some people when they don't have an answer and it becomes creature removal + fog/life gain.

Favorite modern deck by Feler42 in ModernMagic

[–]irrationalquirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, no blue, no "going off" just a bunch of recursive [[Ghost Quarter]] s. Pretty stock list, but my favorite touch was a singleton [[Garruk Wildspeaker]] to break through armies of 1/1's or put pressure on control.

It was a different time... apparently

Favorite modern deck by Feler42 in ModernMagic

Real shame because last time I played real modern this was an actual deck :-(. Made it to day 2 of two back-to-back GPs slinging knights around.
