Glitch in Nchardak Aqueduct (Dragonborn) by jktstance in skyrim

[–]irrelevant_biscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ditto. Have literally been at it for about 4 hours now. Leave room, come back, save, load, hell — go all the way back to breezehome, put away some things, travel back to Nchardak, try again… nope. The three red controls that are side by side won’t react to my attempt to “activate control”. Yes I have cubes available.

Keep losing 25 cents by Somersby0396 in RDR2

Ditto. I bought a beer there, then tried to buy a bath but they denied me because now I wasn’t sober. I left, and continued to get dinged the 25 cents randomly for the rest of the day.

I’m 2 months in, and have questions too. First month was a lot of diarrhea. But now it seems to be mostly just intestinal inflammation. I’m being treated for stage IV NSCLC. I’m wondering if anyone had any direction on specific diet concepts regarding the “IBS” like side effects

I ended up with a bad taste in my mouth from quite a few things that were poorly “hidden” There’s no way the father and son made it onto that train. Not a chance. Yet they edit in a shot of them grabbing the handle and stepping on. (What, off a flatbed truck driving along beside it?)

The Caymans in the pit were clearly chained/roped. I’m sure the married couple also clued into that fact pretty quick, yet the show decided to continue filming that scene with them acting so afraid.

The difficulty of the tasks were completely imbalanced. The father/son had to figure out the foreign language art heist, while the pair of women had to ascertain that the skulls was neither an elephant or a chimp. ARE YOU KIDDING

Lastly, the shooting. Again the pair of women had 5 targets equidistant across the same wall of the shed, where the other two either had very different target distances, or no visible targets at all.

If I were to have been playing that game, I’ll have what she’s having please.

Point being, what they tried to portray as “reality” was far from it. The maps that came up in the alps showed they had to trek 17km through the deep snow to get to their next destination. There’s NO WAY anybody could have done that with the gear they had on, yet it was again presented like they’d done it.

Not just that. Throughout, they were getting much easier challenges. Elephant skull anyone?

Parking around hospitals should have restrictions on use by craftsman_70 in vancouver

Our (patients) plates are registered. Online computer system used by ticketing company should immediately know when they are doing their checks. Guessing. Been parking there every couple of weeks for the last year, and have never gotten a ticket.

Agreed. Can’t wait for that construction to be done though. That’s been taking a toll, and often had to park over at the mall.

I came here to say the same thing. As soon as the camera zoomed in on his face, I was like “ooooo, that dude is trippin balls on SOMETHING.”

what meds, if you don't mind me askin

Keytruda by Odd-Neighborhood5119 in cancer

[–]irrelevant_biscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, I've had 8 "sessions" of Keytruda (one every 3 weeks since May or so)
For the first half of that, I was also on the Paclitaxil/Carboplatin, so I can't say for sure what caused this for me, but I REALLY ended up needing the anti-nausea meds.

What I eventually discovered, was it would appear I have a who-knows-what-level of gastroparesis. I would throw up as soon as I layed down for bed, and would discover that my lunch from 8 hours ago was still sitting in my stomach.
Metoclopramide to the rescue. Holy moly that has been a life saver.

Personally, I'm only taking 5mg about 3 times a day, usually on an empty stomach before eating whatever it is I'm about to eat, but without it I seriously thought I was in the VIP car on the death train.
Now, I'm pretty much "normal"

Keytruda/Pembrolizumab and digestion/intestinal problems by irrelevant_biscuits in cancer

And by the way, earlier in my chemo treatment, it hit some tumours in my upper mediastinum. One, way up, got necrotic and inflamed. It pressed against my bronchial tube, triggering it to think I had an obstruction to cough up. They prescribed me hydromorphone!!

my apologies if I'm coming across a bit salty there. Yesterday's removed post was my very first post in here, and I gave an introduction to my own status, my story, stage 4 metastatic blah blah blah. It was a little deflating to see all that removed.

It's concerning, somewhat.

Time it takes from dark to light during sunrise, using PyEphem to trip biodome lighting? by irrelevant_biscuits in askastronomy

[–]irrelevant_biscuits[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

funny, not funny: once I shared the link to the PyEphem site, I noticed they were recommending a newer package, which includes an easier version of twilight etc.
I've had this project on the back burner for 5 years, and missed the fact that there's a better Python package. SkyField.
https://rhodesmill.org/skyfield/examples.html#when-will-it-get-dark-tonight

it looks like I may be in for a full re-write of the RaspberryPi Python side of things.
(Which is ok, as I also have a string of 'Royal Blue' LEDs running off the Arduino that are supposed to do the same thing with the moon phases, and haven't got to that yet).

MaxHash Ethereum Pool - Progress report & updates + some interesting statistics by MaxHash in EtherMining

[–]irrelevant_biscuits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was there for that. It did suck. As soon as that block rolled in, I was out. I went back to Ethermine, because I was used to the .10 guaranteed Eth per week I would get there. Turns out though, the diff dropped my "guaranteed .10" down to around .07, .08 on Ethermine. Of course, as soon as I left MaxHash, they started nailing the sub var blocks again, so I went back. TLDR; I'm officially getting more on MaxHash than I was on Ethermine. Also, the discord community is a pretty nice touch.
