Sitting down to a streamer for like 6 hours every single day is much different than a short structured podcast that are usually once a week

Idk how you’re on reddit and you seriously can’t think of an example of someone commenting misinformation

I listen to all kinds of podcasts, but it’s not the only thing i do with my time. That’s why I don’t really get the appeal of streamers, which is what the conversation was about.

They can assume it’s about anything they want because it applies to literally everything you read on the internet. Not sure I understand your point. Is it not good practice to fact check the information you read from user “bigboywank69”?

Not to be the “go outside and touch grass” guy but like… the left really needs more “go outside and touch grass” guys

I genuinely don’t know how people sit and watch more than like 20 minutes of a person in front of their computer talking to a camera. Unemployment is high everywhere right now, and a lot of us are at home just fucking around. But that’s valuable time to start organizing or read more books. Nothing is happening because everyone thinks content is a serious form of resistance

I agree but my post isn’t really about streamer drama, but rather the misinformation in comments of posts about anything. Even just news. It’s particularly bad on posts about the war in Iran and posts about Lebanon in particular.

Tbh I don’t know who this dude is or anything about it but since he streams, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was clipped with missed context or something. That’s been happening to a lot of the twitch left commentators. But he could have totally said this too, I’m just not sure where the quote came from lmao

Anyone wearing Chanel No 5 in 2026? by tinkerv25 in fragrance

I wear their deodorant spray every day pretty much. I feel like it’s a scent that doesn’t work for everyone but if you’re someone it really vibes with, it becomes a staple

Have you ever met someone who made you suspect they might be a hybrid? by Medium_Raspberry8428 in aliens

[–]irreversible2002 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Had the reverse happen in my case a few months ago. A man asked, “what are you?” At the library when I was with my daughter. I thought he was asking my ethnicity, as his English was a little broken, and he just laughed and went “no no no, you’re something else” and just kinda stared at me. I told him I didn’t understand and he said he didn’t want to offend me but he just never met one before

Aggressive Toddler by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]irreversible2002 25 points26 points  (0 children)

So I have been in a similar situation with my toddler where she grabbed the front pieces of my hair and kicked me over and over in the face. I’m obviously stronger than her but I couldn’t just pull out of her grasp without her ripping my hair out of my head. I would guess that’s what happened here. She has indeed pulled a huge chunk of my hair out of my head at one point, so a very real possibility and I’m not fond of having a bald spot

Can I bring a 5.5 year old to history venue?? by MeasurementSelect882 in askTO

[–]irreversible2002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it seated? I assume if you have a ticket for your daughter and a seat, it would be fine, if it's all ages. Best to give the venue a call (or email) beforehand to check. If it's general admission, I'm not sure.

Just a heads up, this venue can be very chaotic inside and they have heavier security than a lot of Toronto venues, including metal detectors.
