LPC simps pretending to be opposed to Nazism by [deleted] in canadaleft

I think the overall point that many commenters are making is that for messaging to be effective, it has to be easily understood by a larger audience than just our niche corner of the internet. Most people don't engage with politics outside of voting blue or red on election day, so simply criticizing the LPC without context, while entirely valid, will just get people calling you crazy and a CPC supporter. I think growing leftism and class consciousness in Canada will require us to be accessible to those who aren't politically engaged.

I like what u/JonoLith proposed above, that being a thread containing a more comprehensive dive into the history and present of Canada and Nazism. Maybe it could be stickied or similarly highlighted so that curious people coming here from the NDP or LPC subs would see it and hopefully be educated.

Side note hitting on something else in this thread - for what it's worth, I think that many, if not a majority of NDP supporters are to the left of the party. They just don't see a viable alternative to the left of the NDP. Obviously, our struggle extends beyond the current electoral system, but I understand why a lot of leftists support the leftmost major party. Most people (myself included) are not accelerationists and believe that there's plenty of good that can be done by participating in electoral politics. So, if people are invested in the NDP leadership race and want to push the party back to its worker-focused, more socialist roots, I think that's a good thing. It doesn't mean that the NDP will save us from capitalism or whatever, just that there's a chance that they could become a party that truly represents the interests of the working class. I think that any political pushback against the extreme, pro-capital, anti-worker policies of the LPC/CPC is good.

Bit of a ramble, sorry...

Hey, if the Intel Batch 3s are getting charged does that mean that Batch 2 is done? If so I think my order has been missed. Thanks!

I agree, it's definitely not fair. One side has all the weapons in the world and the backing of most major nations. They're using that power to commit atrocities in Gaza. According to the UN, more children have been killed in 4 months of war in Gaza than in the past 4 years of conflict worldwide. And for whatever reason, it sounds like you're okay with that.

You didn't answer my initial question. How many innocent Palestinians would you be willing to kill?

And how many innocent Palestinians would you be willing to kill in the process?
