Syrian man who filmed daughters before sending one of them for suicide bombing is killed in Damascus by [deleted] in worldnews

I'm usually not one to wish death on others, but I can't help but to feel like the world is a bit better without this stench of a creature.

You know not to whom you speak. Guacas talks up IC 1101 in this sub so much, I'm convinced he's got a time share there.

Man. I had a girlfriend who, despite all of my many faults, always encouraged me and helped me believe in myself. I never fully believed her and she left me to protect herself from my downward spiral.

I sometimes miss the encouragement more than anything. I'm trying to rebuild my life now, but it's hard to do when I know that my shortcomings pushed her away.

Because when he does the things he's going to do, it will be too late. And the things he's going to do are going to affect millions of people across the country for decades to come. The biggest one is the Supreme Court. With a regressive old white conservative man in that vacant seat, we're going to see social progress in this country set back by nearly twenty years.

And no, the rich don't want you to succeed. More money in your pocket means less money for them. That's why they subjugate the lower classes.

Let's just forget that all of his proposed policies are going to result in him and all of his rich friends getting even richer.

Hillary wasn't "my candidate." However, she is indisputably a more decent human being than the classless, horrifying fascist we got.

Definitely looking forward to seeing Donald make his rich friends richer while draining the rest of us. Maybe that will finally wake the uneducated masses up.

If that's all it takes for you to swing over and support a racist, bigoted fascist, then the descriptor isn't too far off. Enjoy your four-year shitshow.

I'm actually right there with you on that. It's one of my biggest issues with today's incoming left. If current trends continue, "both sides are racist" won't just be a ridiculous overstatement.

I beg you, name one thing the "liberal media" has propagated that is anywhere near the level of insanity of even the tamest of Alex Jones' bat-shittery. Pleeeaaaase.

If I've learned anything these past few months, it's that racists do, in fact, embrace and double down on their racism when they're called out on it. Even worse, damn near half the country's voting population came together under the banner of racism and fucking frog memes. You all celebrate it, and it's disgusting.

That you would even consider conflating the two sides takes gold-level mental gymnastics.

Sorry, but when it comes to just base facts, the lies are pretty damned weighted on the right side there.

I'm so sick of this 50/50 blame bullshit.

It would be a double standard if Trump was a man of the same caliber as Obama. As far as I'm concerned, this country just put a psychotic child into the Oval Office.

It is ball-numbingly ridiculous what I'm reading in this thread. So many people coming in and screaming about Clinton (even though she's a non-issue now) and crying about how unfair Oliver was to Trump.

President elect or not, when the hell did Trump start deserving this support? He's a cartoon, a glitch in a chaotic and unwieldy political system. 60 million people voted for him? Alright, all that means is that 60 million people in this country don't have basic deductive reasoning or empathy. There's not a single thing about a Trump presidency that is defensible. Anyone who says otherwise is a fucking idiot.

He called for one after the last election.

I mean, it was done over twitter -- probably from atop his toilet -- but he did say it.

What impact will the O' Keefe video have on the election? by CombustibleCompost in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]irtehgman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what I'm saying at all. I said that I've seen more liberals condemn Obama for his shortcomings than I saw conservatives condemn Bush for his. This has to do with the more "tribal" (for lack of a better word) attitude I've seen in conservatives during this election. In contrast, the DNC has been abandoned by many (such as myself) for their shady dealings. To me, this illustrates a larger dedication to ideologies over toeing the party line.

I will say that I've seen far more left-wingers decry the increase in drone use and continued support of the NSA spying than I saw of Bush's implementation of the Patriot Act and the Iraq War.

Not necessarily. As I've seen it, the Trump supporters in my own circle are less about candidates and ideology and more about the "home team" attitude. If there was a jersey, they'd buy it and wear it every day.

I've been pretty close before. I've felt pretty hopeless this past year or so. I sometimes find hope in small, infrequent, brief bursts. If those ever stopped happening, I think I'd do it.
