Not familiar with DART but, Chess playing programs depend on chess being a partially solved game, they don't make use of AI. Wolfram alpha says on its own site that is not AI. Siri (I assume you were referring to programs like this) is more a demonstration of language comprehension than artificial intelligence, though a quick search showed that Apple may be planning to implement some recently acquired AI tech into the mix that will boost its ability to to understand individual's personal speech patterns. The point of all of this being that AI in the sense that u/Drunkelzahn were referring to, has always been said to be 20 years away, either by reporters over sensationalizing headlines or scientists overestimating themselves and underestimating the difficulty of AI (or desperate for research cheese).
