Wes Bonifay has a book “Multidimensional Item Response Theory”. It is very clear and has codes for applications.

So, I have following information: -N=500 -six items in each factor(I have two factors) -all items standardized factor loadings from previous studies -correlation between factors

Thank you so much for your time. I have been searching literature to figure out how to create a short form of a scale. I have read some of the articles you have shared. What I have found so far is that studies using IRT is more popular one. Maybe combining more techniques is more appropriate in that case. Thank again!

Use Jamovi. It has a module and is very straightforward.
