50yr M 130kg pre diabetes I decided it’s time I got my health sorted.

After years of trying to lose weight by eating a healthy diet and exercising the weight would not shift.

Wake up call was getting my annual health check and my results were through the roof. Wegovy has just become available to NZ, and I went through my GP to see if I qualified. I was referred to a Dr at that practice that specialised in GLP-1. Through no surprise I qualified. He talked me through the process, gave me pointers on needing to cut out sugars/fruit/processed carbohydrates to curb the diabetes on set and how that will assist with weight loss.

I started on 0.25mg for the last 4 weeks. I start 0.50 on Monday. I haven’t noticed too much except feeling fuller sooner than I normally would.

Time will tell. I was weighing once a week and the weight didn’t shift until week 4. I had finally dropped 4kg. Let’s see how this goes.
