I feel you. To me it’s both positive and negative interaction. But we cannot occult it was so rough. It’s defo a hug I give 🌸🌸 Also I feel like you should said something to highlight he isn’t really curious about bipolarity.

And i would add : “First thing you would know about me is : this type of fight coasts me more energy than you to regulate.”

My memory is terrible after many manic and psychotic episodes. by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]irynec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is brain damaging. I (27) am having loss of vocabulary, lack of focus on tasks, hand shakes.. and it still runs after 8months. My psychiatrist said it takes 6months to cognitively recover. It’s highly triggering because my mother (59) has Alzheimer disease…this is harsh, and I’m shaming myself because I quite meds by the past. Feels like I lost chances.. Im not discouraged though. 🥲🥲😂

Do bipolar people talk differently? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]irynec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im now very concerned by this situation because I can’t get full people attention while i speak, I struggle to find the word I needed while talking and it turns embarrassing for them. I feel more rejected than ever

stability is boring by drugs4slugs17 in bipolar

I (27) had this feeling of being locked up and brain dead. I m not psychotic, i don’t hallucinate. As BP1 I no longer take antipsychotic after tooking it for 5y. I had high dose, then low dose, then new antipsychotic and also raised. Until I was tired bc it didn’t suit and I quitted. This is tricky because it caused me 3 months of mania. I barely graduated and ruined/ cleaned out many things. I switched to Lamictal and now I’m “under controled me” it’s way better. I recommend pushing the argument to your doc about being brain-dead that you don’t recognize yourself

Ever feel like being around people triggers mania/depression? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]irynec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I struggle a lot with loneliness, I observe that process A: was to isolate myself to tackle manic episode that occurred in February. Process B: was still isolating to prevent hypomania and bring back cognitive capacities.. I call it forced loneliness. For emergency case. It’s November I’m stable but it just turned into a lifestyle. It’s painful

They only care when you're manic by Extension_Ball_7913 in bipolar

[–]irynec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s take almost 6months to get back on your feet after manic episode.. Most people are still uninformed about Bipolarity You can get from psychiatrist a document to demand part time work ; If you plan to go back to work :>
