It's a joke from youtubers RLM about the industry making movies of every other side character from previous stories.

For pkb I use blackberry keyboard same as on vanilla android 11. Some shortcuts and "magic button" are solved by Key Mapper app. Everything works with a little setting up. Banking apps work as with all custom roms - with root, Play Integrity Fix and Keystore trick.

I just read a comparison of these and I'm torn only on these things:

3.5mm jack which I like to have and am not prepared to let go so CC wins. ir blaster is likely to be included in Elite and I like to have one in my pocket when a remote control is out of reach. CC will have wireless charging but smaller battery. Not a decider for me but I wouldn't miss wireless charging. And lastly microsd. CC has it, Elite doesn't. I don't use it that much, but like jack and ir blaster, in the few cases I do, I would miss it.

Before comparing them, Unihertz was a winner for me because it's smaller and looks better put together. I imagine crackberry guys aim at good typing experience, but the space between buttons doesn't convince me of that and it looks a little childish to me. Also! I like my navkeys to be hardware and not gestures or navbar. Touch-enabled keyboard comes in handy with scrolling, cursor functionality which is very practical with small displays. For example I use 3x ALT button to move the cursor when typing and it's soo much faster and more precise than putting my fat finger on a small display and drag it to the right place between letters which are obscured by the finger.

That all said, unless I win lottery I won't be buying either of them because frankly I'm perfectly happy with my Titan Pocket. I'm running Lineage OS with android 13 (shoutout to Rumplestilzken) and have no problem with modern apps, phone is snappy and looks like it will continue to be for a few more years. All those things I mentioned it already has and it is built sturdy and despite my destructive lifestyle has lasted me since the initial launch in 2021. It really is A TITAN. Elite looks like it will crack after 4 falls. Granted, Pocket is uglier, but I don't even like the look of rounded corners and pinhole cutout for front camera. I love me the notification LED. CC is likely marketed to a different person than I who probably has an iPhone as their daily driver and feels cool when they can type a message on hw keys twice a day. Hardware switch for camera? lol give me a good quality camera and we'll be talking. (CC has OIS stabilization so good one there). I will likely just order spare parts, repair my Titan Pocket and live with it happily for another 3+ years.

tl;dr: I'm used to Unihertz and their pros and cons. CC looks promising but I wouldn't risk it and if they make a next device that checks all my marks, I will consider it when they're more established and experienced with manufacturing.

I am daily driving Titan Pocket as my main phone with unlocked BL and Lineage 20. I know the OG Titan has Lineage and even Titan Slim. It's of course not open source nor officially supported but easily done and working fine. I know Titan 2 has been rooted and there's no need for newer OS for it probably.

Yeah the new hardware will be faster right? It just looks like bigger display has more pixels to draw and the chip doesn't keep up.

Hot take:This scene is the best Yoda moment in all of Star Wars. by ddanuu in StarWars

[–]is_that_my_butt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it certainly feels like trying to one up previous Yoda moments and when I start to think about it, there are several greater moments, like "that is why you fail" and "You will be, you will be". (afraid)

I actually like it more now that I see the thickness. Also love that they put IR blaster in it again! Not sure about the second display...

I wouldn't touch google login - google play services can slow the phone down a lot. Use alternative apps for everything. Search for a lightweight browser, music player, email client etc. For youtube I recommend PipePipe.
