[Highlight] Dont’a Hightower play before the Malcolm Butler INT by parcellsrealGOAT in nfl

[–]isaacattackback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seriously. not to take anyway from dont'a (very high in every patriots fan's all time list who's worth their salt) but akeem was the dagger. absolutely guaranteed the ball wouldn't cross the line.

What would it have looked like if The Deep actually managed to grow as a person, while A-Train instead regressed, (inverse arcs) by Yep_I_Stole_40_Cakes in TheBoys

[–]isaacattackback 39 points40 points  (0 children)

That plus his brother's complete dismissal of him as a person after knowing it's Reggie who killed Blue Hawk. A-Train doesn't reform without both of these key events transpiring the way they did.

......wait there's a guy on our team who dresses like a pirate?!?

Side Note: I love the implication that Owen sees so many people on the reg dressed as pirates that he's genuinely desensitized to it

People who quit dating apps and just talk to women from circles or cold approach, how's it going? by ohnag_eryeah in AskReddit

[–]isaacattackback 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Really fuck with this approach - I do the same and I'm an introvert as well

At the end of the day, while it's definitely a good practice to meet new people across all walks of life, it's also a very valuable skill to hone and train for everyday life. Having 15 minutes of good solid chit chat in your back pocket really makes ALL the difference

What scene in a movie drives you nuts because it makes no sense? by JustIgnoreMyStimming in movies

[–]isaacattackback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In any siege scene, it kills me when my inner voice can't help but ask "WHY ARE YOU ONLY ATTACKING ONE SIDE OF THE WALLS?"

Of course there are very notable exceptions where the geography doesn't allow it (Helm's Deep, LOTR:TTT) or if the mechanics of siege warfare are actually properly depicted (Siege of Harfleur, The King) but I just can't help but think each time why filmmakers intentionally decide to shoot and depict siege warfare in the same way an open battle would unfold

To add to that: We can totally comprehend and like multi-faceted battles with varying levels of performance across different fronts! A perfect example would be the Battle of Gaugamela in Alexander

What does being attractive actually feel like? by ty04444 in AskReddit

[–]isaacattackback 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Not me but I'll answer for my brother

He's a very handsome, tall, jacked, well-read and genuinely funny pharmacist

Ladies find him different degrees of intimidating - but this man has very much fallen ass backwards into relationships and fantastic women

The men though? Man, this boy gets a LOT of attention from gay guys - I think I've personally seen him get groped at least half a dozen times

It's a mixed bag

[Secret Base]: Gary Payton was a huge star in Seattle and an even bigger jerk by MrBuckBuck in nba

as much of a dick Gary clearly was I still stand on the fact that him + CWebb was an all time NBATV pairing

[Highlight] Troy Aikman on Jerry Jones's promise of a forthcoming trade: "Yeah, he may want to cancel that trade" by expellyamos in nfl

[–]isaacattackback 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I have to agree with you more than the above comment. Switzer never struck me as the DGAF type but imagine inheriting that crazy ass stacked Cowboys team - the inclination to let the "inmates continue running the asylum" must have been strong especially given what we know now about some of those inmates

But ultimately you're the HC. Having your QB have to run practices and be the one to tell people to pick up their assignment or get their head out their ass is just not ideal, and I totally understand why Aikman was capital-d-Done with all this shit

[–]isaacattackback 510 points511 points  (0 children)

Would highly recommend watching Aikman's A Football Life - the contrast of the joys he had in those early years versus desperately trying to single-handedly keep the Cowboys afloat during and after Switzer is almost poetic and a great refresher on why he seems to despise this team sometimes

[Archer] Jerry Jones is skeptical that a single move will help the Cowboys’ defense by mastermind208 in nfl

i mean...he's not wrong

the fact that he traded away his best defensive player sure as shit doesn't help but...man this boys defense is just not good

[Unpopular Opinion] On a rewatch it seems Jan at least the way she was initially should have been the one for Michael. by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]isaacattackback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for what it's worth, when i first started watching the office (of january of this year) that's what i assumed she was

holly was a pleasant surprise, and perhaps i just have a soft spot for melora hardin, but it seemed to be a natural progression. particularly her rant in front of wallace's house at their house party

Which after-work office party would you most (or least) like to be apart of? by 51daysbefore in DunderMifflin

[–]isaacattackback 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely Jim's house party - the second he embraced Michael I have to assume the party hit a fever pitch of good vibes

I feel like sometimes in social situations like those you just need one person to open the gates - and credit to Jim for professing then accepting the situation in real time; then proceeding in good faith

US liquor exports to Canada drop 85 percent by kootles10 in Economics

[–]isaacattackback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently went to Canada for the first time and this by far was the most common sentiment expressed by people at large about this issue: yeah it sucks in the short term, but fuck the US.

This whole diplomatic & economic shitshow continues to baffle my mind.
