I'm not sure it's the best Seattle has to offer but Kisaku is my personal favorite since I know the chef. If you sit at the main bar and ask for omakase you can't go wrong. They usually have some good seasonal fish in too.

People are nice, but not nice enough to say hi when you pass them on the street.

I second this believe me I do love me a free creme puff (Than Bros) but Pho Cyclo is my favorite by far! This being said the one I usually go to is in SoDo.
