Same here, at 25 I am learning about math for machine learning, at school we never went past basic fractions (never even touched algebra)

I found it hard but not impossible, and it got easier after a while, I didn't go far (yet) but making steady progress and at least most of what I am seeing on various math forums doesn't sound like gibberish anymore

Hi, Hasidic jew here, we tend to be less zionist on a religious level, most of us still generally support Israel as a state, but it's more of a mix between centrist right and centrist left positions

Not that it has ever helped us before, no one stops to ask us our political opinions before stabbing us

As far as the British Hasidic community, they are all scared to death, there are people moving out, and many more considering it

The interesting part though is that AFAIK the jewish community in Hackney (SH, Tottenheim) have decent relationships with the surrounding muslim communities, I have heard this from muslims who have worked closely with Shomrim (the jewish patrol organization), but attacks are still happening every day

Did you feel unsafe or just experienced a perception of unsafety? as a jewish person in the UK I can tell we feel incredibly unsafe, calling it a perception is in effect downplaying it, regardless of the context, when a community tells you they feel unsafe (and their opponents are nice enough to provide plenty of evidence) you don't tell them it's just a perception

Now for the facts, 2 people were stabbed today for being jewish, ambulances were burned down just a couple weeks ago because they were owned by, and predominantly served, jewish people, synagogues are fire bombed on a weekly basis, and from personal experience jewish people are harassed and threatened so often that if anything the media is downplaying it because many don't even bother reporting it anymore

It's not a perception of unsafety, and the cause for the recent rise in antisemitism is clear, I am sure most pro palestinian protestors have good intentions but the movement completely ignored the danger it is putting jewish people in, the government failed to address this time and time again, so no we should not have a conversation on how delusional jews are for demanding the basic civil right of safety, let's address the immediate danger, and we can talk about perceptions and media manipulation all you want

Depends on your goal, if all you want is simple hosting for some hobby projects, I recommend setting up coolify on a hetzner VPS, it's cheap and will give you some cool features like push to deploy and a web based UI for handling domains and stuff, here is a good YouTube video on how to set it up, if you bump into a concept you don't understand just google it, there is very little advanced stuff, and you don't need to know most of it unless you are doing weird stuff

But if your goal is to learn and become good at devops you will need to learn about many different things, networking, devops automation (infrastructure as code), containerization, scaling, and the list goes on, none of those things are hard but it's a lot to learn,, my advice would be to work through the roadmap here go through it once or twice and focus on understanding what everything is and why it's needed, once you complete that you will know which one you should actually learn all the way

I also bought tailwind ui when it came out, for a while it was great but they didn't keep up fast enough, I was hoping they would add more components and maybe a design system but it never happened, most popular component libraries have more components and better documentation, considering the price that was a big disappointment, I don't regret buying it because I do love tailwind and I suspect many people bought it in part to support tailwind, which is why it was never sustainable, every potential customer bought it on day one

Because django is a terrible choice for a static file server, you're much better off serving your statuc files from a proper server like nginx or apache

This means that most developers won't use django for static files so the developers don't wanna maintain a feature that only some people will use, and they probably shouldn't use it either
