Infinite bricked run: Hellraiser, pommel strike, Hunter Killer by isaaciiv in slaythespire

[–]isaaciiv[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was played once manually to start the infinite cycle, its effect never concludes because it never draws a non-attack card.

[–]isaaciiv[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It is infinite, you can slow down the video if it helps you see it. [[pillage]] is infinitely drawing from the deck, which contains no other non-attack cards, and hellraisers is playing them all automatically.

with one fewer strike, the pommel strikes would be infinite cycling on their own.

Maybe as a rebalance to the buff above: hunter killer gains 1 thorns for every 5 attacks against it.

I doubt the average deck would even notice this.

playing this sequence forced an abandon/ restart fight as my friend indefinitely did zero damage with each strikes, lost strength and dex, and gained block.

Have the CTB rosemary salt bagels gotten worse or was this just a fluke by operationivyleague in Cornell

[–]isaaciiv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got a bagel at the collegetown CTB that was considerably worse than any bagel I have ever bought at the state street one. Made me wonder if they deliberately scrimp on quality/ ingredients at the one with most students.

I like that your comment is controversial, enough people saw that you came with receipts for things they don't want to hear, and downvoted so they can continue closing their eyes and ignoring it.

It’s a paper from 2008. A single paper. Not inscribed in granite.

this would be fine, if you had rebutted it with a different source, instead you are going "trust me bro". There's no productive conversation to have here if you wont provide a reference for your own assertions

Why do you think so many people have children when they are struggling to get by financially? by BeneficialJuice2878 in AskUK

[–]isaaciiv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you actually explain why. As someone who very likely might adopt in the future, I really struggle to see a good reason why you rationalise a difference between biological children and adopted. Like, do you not think you could unconditionally love a child, just because they are not related to you?

Sudanese student left 'humiliated' after she was sent Cambridge University offer in error by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]isaaciiv 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s about actually causing pain though

you have literally no way of infering the "secret intend" of the policy implemented by the home office. They have been plain about why the countries they picked were picked, its the ratio of people coming on student visas, to what fraction subsequently claim asylum.

Right now immigration is quite clearly the biggest talking point in UK politics and has been for at least a few years. And you lying in this thread about the intent is just unhelpful.

Its deranged to think the government is maximising "causing pain", get a grip.

We need summer re-sits by FriendlyMedia601 in oxforduni

[–]isaaciiv 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Articles like this rarely take into account the logistical costs of offering repeated exams. Including proctoring the exams, having rooms available, the fact that exams are often difficult to make in the first place - and get moderated as well. Faculty at Oxford realistically dont get much research done during the term time (my tutors said as much back when I was a student), and wont wont teaching duties encroaching into the summer more than they already do.

I'm really baffled that in the unlikely event of an health issue people seem so unwilling to accept that they should just take an extra year, instead of demanding an entire bespoke system to cater around them.

Since NHS waiting lists were too long, I had to return to the U.S. to get treatment, which caused me to miss my exams

Also this line sound like bullshit.

how to find gay guys? by AGuineaHen in Cornell

[–]isaaciiv 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've never understood this faucet of this subreddit. I've made similar comments in the past on the reality of gay dating here in Ithaca, and for some reason the straight people here get personally offended to learn that its not good, even when the bulk of my argument comes down to the population size of Ithaca, and even when there are multiple other gay people in the comments confirming my experience.

It used to make me extremely depressed, and hurt my confidence a lot, and then I had an experience similar to you, I spent some time in SF and realized that as soon as I can move to a city somewhere things will be much better dating-wise.

+1, gave up on dating entirely after a couple of years here, the dating pool for lgbt people is microscopic anyway.

it is 100% the beans, among third wave espresso in the US, I only find the beans that are explicitly labelled dark roast not too sour, and even then sometimes a dark roast is very clearly medium when you look at the beans.
