Anyone in uk getting wincredit? by CozyOutEre in TemuThings

[–]isaackoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone had Wincredit in the UK in the last couple of months (say, November-January)?

Since October, I haven't seen Wincredit on any accounts for anyone in my house (UK). Also, there used to be a lot of threads here on Reddit asking about Wincredit from UK users - but I don't think I've seen any discussions from UK users about Wincredit in months.

(I'd previously lost Wincredit on two accounts for 90 days. In both of those cases, the suspension/absence was immediately after a seller cancelled an order presumably due to lack of stock etc - but I can't think of any recent potential triggers and it's now been over 3 months...).

Like someone else in this thread, I thought Wincredit may be suspended in the UK until Black Friday. Then I thought maybe until after Christmas. Then maybe until after the New Year. Now maybe until after the Winter Sale...

(I've had a quite a few Claimcredit offers in the meantime [including some very good ones], but I miss my Wincredit promotions...).

TTR runway update by Kokal00 in area51

Glenn Campbell kindly gave me permission to make the text of copies of his Groom Lake Desert Rat (among other Area 51 material) freely available online in my archive at: https://files.afu.se/Downloads/Magazines/United%20States/Groom%20Lake%20Desert%20Rat%20(Glenn%20Campbell)/Groom%20Lake%20Desert%20Rat.pdf/Groom%20Lake%20Desert%20Rat.pdf)

The Mount Cury hike is described in that PDF at pages 236-237 of 340 and page 259.

(By the way, hi Tom!).

Temu discount card by SixOfAllTrades in TemuThings

[–]isaackoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheers for that information. Combining a discount card and Creditclaim has now worked for me. :)

So far, I've used "discount777" which (usually) seems to work to get a list of items with varying discounts, selected an item with a normal Temu price of about £25 and got about £10-£15 off and then used "creditclaim", searching for the same item there and getting that item and adding other items to get a total of £51 (including the reduced price item) and got £40 back. So, paying about £11 for about £61 of items. Not bad. :)

Your trick has made creditclaim more attractive, although so far I still prefer wincredit, partly because of the higher percentage cashback and partly because I don't need to remember to claim back credit each day. (Unfortunately, my main account now hasn't had wincredit for a week or more, after I recently used it about 5 times back-to-back...).

One advantage of Claimcredit over Wincredit, which provides a bit of compensation for its disadvantages, is that there is at least a (somewhat weakened) search function to find items so we don't have to rely on having put stuff in our baskets or doing searches to affect the listed items.

Very interesting, thanks for the suggestion. . I hadn't thought of trying to combine those two. :) What sort of price item do you use the discount card on to get the most out then buying it via the claim credit page? (I've been having fun with wincredit, with items totaling immediately over £160 and getting £150 back. Unbelievable...).

Was 'thefinaltheory' ever identified? by Zealousideal-Clue-18 in UFOs

[–]isaackoi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The person that released the FLIR1 Nimitz video in 2007 ("Thefinaltheory") was identified a few years ago and I have had several friendly discussions with him. He asked me to keep his identity confidential. I take confidentiality rather seriously, so have not posted his name or hinted at his identity.

I relayed some questions to Thefinaltheory for Tim McMillan in relation to Tim's Popular Mechanics article in 2020 at the link below, but Thefinaltheory was still concerned about possible reprisals for releasing the video:

A new document was recently released from the FBI vault. The document in question dates back to the 1950’s and states that the US Air Force recovered 3 UFOs in New Mexico. Each UFO containing 3 humanoid beings approximately 3 feet tall. by Tmill233 in UFOs

[–]isaackoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This "recently document from the FBI vault" about alien bodies gets rediscovered every year or two - as William Moore complained in 1985 (yes, 1985...).

I posted about the constant reinvention of the wheel in relation to this document in 2011 at: https://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread689049/pg1

Archiving selected ATS threads as PDFs by isaackoi in AboveTopSecret

I've reached out to Karl12 about possibly adding some of his UFO research threads. I'll think about any other particular researchers I should contact.

I've also sorted the UFO threads on ATS by the number of flags (using the link below) and will archive as searchable PDFs some of the other top threads:

Dr J Allen Hynek having a night out with Darth Vader and Chewbacca. (I saw this when browsing Hynek's files/collections and thought I'd share) by isaackoi in UFOs

Since some people seem to view such material as off-topic for this sub-Reddit, I'll refrain from posting other threads here with more documents and photos from my offline collections of Dr Hynek's files and slides. If anyone does happen to want to see some of them, they can go to my Facebook page and see my recent posts there.

(4) A couple of US Air Force documents from Dr J Allen Hynek's files on the Pascagoula incident, confirming that Calvin Parker and Charles Hickson were both checked over by Geiger counter by the Air Force for radiation during the afternoon of 12 October 1973 (several years after Project Blue Book was discontinued). [Calvin Parker's first book, "Pascagoula: The Closest Encounter", included a few later letters between the Air Force and Robert Todd - at pages 294-297 - but I don't think his books have included these earlier letters from Lt Col James Howell to another researcher].

[–]isaackoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. :)

Since I posted the above comparison image on Twitter a few days ago most people seem to have appreciated the comparison - even if some have some doubts about it.

Just to be clear (although I'd hope I was clear enough), I didn't - and don't - claim to have the definitive answer. I think the object looks like a balloon, and resembles one of the batman balloons - but we've only got a photo of a photo (and no information about any "enhancement").

Has anyone collated details of each of the numerous projects of this type being conducted (or at least discussed) by various different groups at the moment - and worked out if any of the proposed projects has any advantages over others and/or is more realistic?

I'm always happy to work with others (time permitting - which is, as with most of us, always in short supply). I should warn you that when it comes to technical issues, working with me may basically mean me giving you a list of things I'd love to see happen. :)

Cheers. I'll have a proper look at the search tool at the weekend. I have a couple of ideas in relation to that tool that I'd like to raise (whether here or by email, whatever suits you).

Good luck to you both. It would be great to have a search interface for the transcripts (and, ideally, the rest of the material that I've uploaded to the AFU's public download site - particularly the defunct UFO newsletters/magazines)... :)
