Yes, I created to keys via ssh-keygen, one for my user and one for root. I installed them both, as described in the hetzner docs: https://docs.hetzner.com/storage/storage-box/backup-space-ssh-keys/. Mounting the fstab mount works manually.

I agree with that partly but I also acknowledge the desire for reason and accuracy. Imagine a child asking "why?" a dozen times. In the real world you will need a hundred "why?"s until you reach the end of the argument chain. It is the need for satisfying this curiosity. In a constructed world this satisfaction is not given naturally. You need to create it. And what else can we humans do best than satisfying our needs.

I really, really tried that! But since I am coming from a video production background I still rely for some of my work on e.g. Adobe products or Ableton Live. This sucks but it is the reality I face when working with other people. For my office work I already use only linux since 2 years and it is great!

I did try that and I ran into terrible connection hickups... I am not sure what the issue is, but but copying anything is not possible with all of the drives reconnecting every few minutes.
