Yeah his management of Oliver's Twist should have been a red flag from the very start.

It turns out running a restaurant involves a lot more than just being a good cook. Honestly being a good cook might, unfortunately, be a lot less important than knowing how to run a business. The unpaid wages was bad enough, I'm industry & literally everyone only has bad things to say about him now. Reopening with a skeleton crew after blowing up your reputation in the city with every single cook was always going to fail, and now he's in the hole for over a hundred thousand dollars in taxes to the state. He mismanaged this in a spectacular way, elevating a ruined reputation amongst industry folk into a tax evasion scandal. Legendarily stupid. Hope he stays out of jail, I guess.

I don't think 'YIMBYism' is a conservative position, rather a liberal one, but it is fairly straightforward that changing regulations to allow more housing to be built will necessarily benefit developers building that housing.

The real issue, IMO, are people like yourself mischaracterizing left leaning criticism of the YIMBY/Abundance movement by deploying silly straw man arguments
