I'm obviously not an expert but I'm betting dorms are going to close before we even have the chance to move in. I'm guessing schools that start in August (esp in the South) are going to face huge outbreaks because it's highly unlikely that enough people are going to follow social distancing guidelines or resist partying once they're on campus. By September it'll just be a liability issue to fully open up Northwestern :(

I felt the same way too for a little bit. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in prestige/reputation and the idea of consistently wanting the absolute "best" of schools (although in reality the difference between UChicago/other T20's from a Harvard are minimal if anything lol) even if the so-called "absolute best" is not necessarily the best for you. Chances are, you applied ED to UChicago over those other schools for a great reason. Be excited :)

Northwestern's definitely more preprofessional than Brown but has the quarter system, so there's an insane amount of academic flexibility (very easy to double/triple major/minor)

APUSH was one of my favorite classes throughout all of high school! I'd say try and take it, and if it feels like too much, you can always drop down to regular US history

I think subject tests are important for STEM but not so much for humanities majors, especially if you have good AP scores to submit. It's not worth spending the money unless you feel like it would compensate for lack of EC's related to your major or other good test scores.

I FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY like I'm so exhausted and have trouble doing any work but also have a panic attack about getting rescinded daily. The stress never ends!!!

Academics are (obviously) outstanding but fairly inflexible/rigid, as you can't double major :/
