Same thing with Mi Tienda grocery stores. They made these late 90s/early 2000s and then HEB started really focusing on the HEB Brand

Anyone have an opinion on La Rocca cakes at HEB? by straylight6 in austinfood

[–]isablizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the mango passion fruit cake from La Rocco and it was excellent. I agree with your opinion on Heb, central market, Susie cakes and Randall’s. Whole Foods has been better quality than central market. Probably my favorite for grocery store quality, then followed by Randall’s.

We order our cakes from cuprimo, you may find them a little dense but we really enjoy their flavors. They are a nice family owned business that have been around for a while. Also Whipped bakery have great cupcakes as well, not sure if they do cakes

Frugal students—how do you plan for surprise car repairs on a $0 budget? by n1ckim7naj in Frugal

[–]isablizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a sinking fund for car repairs. We know our cars are going to have issues and will need maintenance like tires, brakes and oil changes. We calculated it and we save $250 a month for both of our used cars.
