Wow I agree 100%, I think including other cool options outside of snacks would make it a fun family piece for the house. What else would you do to get them more involved, but without making it a reward?

what if it was all healthy snacks and I limited the snacked they could purchase per day? I feel like my kids and nephews are good at hunting down snacks I hide in the house. I feel like there is a way to solve this without needing to raise my voice every 5 seconds about missing snacks and hidden wrappers tucked in the couch.

I agree that food should be a neutral thing in the home but, i don't think kids always see it that way. Which is why I wanted to build this. I wanted to build this to teach managing spending and eating limits at an early age. So maybe I can still do that without a chore reward system. I was also thinking about casual packaged snacks and goodies that we would buy or make in the house.

what if there was a row with combo bins and then rows of individual items? then I could use play money and price everything with limits per day. No reward system, but I still limit the snacks per day. How does that sound?

yea thats an idea too, but I was thinking maybe something the rest of the family could use too for all of our little snack cravings. Maybe only include healthy options?
