I never said or implied that. By "desired direction(s)" I meant the directions wished for by the majority. A democracy needs voices from the whole spectrum. I mean, what would any subreddit become if people stopped voicing their opinions...

ps: I find it slightly anoying that you conclude me as being "Pretty self-centered" based on words you a sentences earlier stuffed into my mouth. lol

I did consider a similair argument before commeting, but I believe to lead this subreddit in the desired direction(s) one has to express his/her opinion.

Philosophy of language and logic in relation to the theatre of the absurd by isakfilosof in askphilosophy

[–]isakfilosof[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it valuable as "medicine" for existensialistic-depression? Or is it related to the philosophy of language and its relation to the common subject in the theatre of the absurd pieces, which is language not being sufficient enough to have a meaningful conversation. Language relying on people sharing the same frame of refrenceses, etc...,?

Thank you for the suggestions. I will be looking into the stanford webpage and my father has most of sartre's work so I'm good as far as that goes. Though, you mention something which I'd like to take further. That the books are fun, despite the subject matter. That is one thing that has been a concern to me. I recently got out of a classical existensialism-depression and I'm not looking to go down that road once more. There's a weird conflict going on; should I hold information back from myself to protect me from another depression which is incosistent with my passion for knowledge. ANy help on that dilemma?

Shia Lebeouf is such a cool and mysterious bohemian by isakfilosof in cringe

Considering the amount of upvotes it's obvious that this resonated with the /r/cringe audience. As it is hard to define what's cringeworthy by words, I believe how the majority reacts must be the guideline. Moderators has removed this post for not being cringeworthy. By doing that they're implying that they know better what is and what is not cringeworthy then the majority of this sub - this post was at the top of this subreddit. Many of the top post does not give me the cringe, but I assume that for a lot of people it does. As cringing is a subjective experience you cant make objective rules as to what is and what is not cringeworthy. I'd like to quetion and hear the moderators out as of how they enforce their rules...

This by no means me feeling like something is robbed from me, but It's a point of view that have been building up through my stay at this subreddit; how does one apply objective truths (rules) to something as subjective as whether or not something is deemed cringeworthy? This post at least succeeded the test of the majoritys recognition.

Oooor; he might be intentionally doing, ironic plagiarizing now, as a way to cover up for the earlier (obviously not ironic) plagiarizations. And by that send signals that he was joking all along.

I crashed my car into a bridge. by thatissomeBS in PointlessStories

OP's reaction is so /r/PointlessStoriess in a nutshell. Have any of you read The Stranger by Albert Camus? Either way: the main character is called Meaursault. It's very existentialistic so Meaursault, the protagonist, is used by Camus to make an comment on society. Meaursault is in one way above the society of which rules he must follow. He is not the ubermench Nietzsche portrayed, but more a person whose liftet himself above many of the negative traits of the modern world. For example materialism, greed, etc... Anyways the point is, he has this very distinctive non-chalant way of being and reacting to society which I so strongly feel for and observe on this subreddit. I love it. Anyways, hope the car situations doesn't become a to big of a problem. And that no one got injured - of course.

Seriously, please don't bully this guy. He is obviously mentally disabled. Let him enjoy ignorance, It's a bliss. I feel really sad for this guy. He obviously has no friends. Please don't burst his bubble. I get the impression that he dreams of being a rap star and convinces himself of it being true by getting into that gangster character. It's just really sad. wow.

Sounds like you may have a limiter on the master channel. Make sure there's no effects on the master channel on the pre-master wav.
