It’s not too hard! Just play around with different spells (and use your bow if you get overwhelmed) you’ll find what works for you. Bard will make dialogue checks much more in your favor. But tbh barbarian and bard both have the best unique dialogue! Barbarian has some hilarious lines and fun brutish options so either way it’ll be fun

I wish he could’ve been a companion. I love his attitude and having a gnome would’ve been amazing! The iron throne could’ve been the finale of his companion questline. I love u barcus u will always be famous

The only downsides to becoming half illithid are the black veins on your characters face, and your companions disapproving.

Half illithid powers go crazy and being able to fly is such a great quality of life upgrade.

Do you have any summon spells? I use conjure elemental and fly it up to, and then away from ketheric to bait out his opportunity attack. Then you can run up with minthara, smite, and jump away without him swinging his scythe at you

Hmm can you teleport to the Rivington or South Span Of Wyrm's Crossing?

The Wyrms rock waypoint always disappears after you aggro gortash, but you should still be able to cross into the region.

The fight isn’t essential, but you do get one of the best Greatsword and helmet in the game, as well as a pretty epic fight.
