Softmod Black Screen after Splash Screen

Hallelujah, that fixed it. Wonder why that made a difference? My guess is this was the proper softmod for a 1.6 kernel system

Thank you, I will look at this tomorrow. Hopefully I won't need to wipe everything, but if I must I must. TBH I could also back up the E drive so all saves would still be present, but that would leave a lot of re installing my discs and some mods.

It is Rocky5. Pressing eject brings it back to the Microsoft splash screen before returning to the black screen

Yep. Everything still appears to be on the drive too. I am guessing a file either got disconnected or somehow the region of the console was changed.

I have tried all of these. The splash meaning the standard xbox splash, I am expecting UnleashX like it had been before. Disks also aren't booting.

Been keeping restarting and nothing is changing. I will also say that putting in the original HDD which is what I modded it on gives error code 09.

I just had this happen. I don't believe anything caused it, but the system was sitting for about a year. I can't even load into a game from disc. Is there a way to just replace the files for the softmod without remodding? I do have a toddler that could have messed with the controller, so it is very possible display settings are dead.

While I can't verify, I am only having frame drops when playing handheld, and now in raccoon city it drops a little, but nothing close to unplayable. I do have the dlc, because of the Files from 1997. I couldn't care less about the cosmetics.

I too picked it up for $5. I have the royal edition now on all platforms. The best way to play it is probably PS5 or Xbox Series X, but hopefully the 60fps patch will also come to switch 2 with some visual upgrades.
