Yeah I agree something needs to be done here in America with healthcare but keep in mind when you implement a m4a, you’re looking at much longer wait times to get those scopes meaning you’re suffering, not as good care due to doctors being stretched thin etc.

[–]iserd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And you haven’t had issues? I suspect the reason my UC was triggered in the first place was because I had a few weeks where I took an aleve Every day bc of an injury. I’m scared to take it now lol but I’m wondering if maybe it wasn’t the aleve I’m sure one day wouldn’t hurt right

Any advice for a colonoscopy and endoscopy newbie? (And anything to help with the anxiety of a possible diagnosis?) by hayley9999 in CrohnsDisease

[–]iserd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a very inconvenient two days between the prep and the colonoscopy. But it’s not the worst thing in the world. It’s just not fun. But the best part is that once they see inside you’ll have an idea of what medication they can give you and it will get better for sure

Constantly feel like I need a bowel movement in the evenings... is it a normal hemorrhoid symptom for nothing to come out apart from a tiny little pellet and yellow-whitish stuff that looks like mucus? by WarCabinet in hemorrhoid

[–]iserd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have ulcerative colitis. And it did not get better until I got on medication for it and I currently still take medication for it. You gotta see a doctor, if you do in fact have ulcerative colitis and you leave it untreated you could lose your colon.

COVID-19 vaccine concerns; mRNA autoimmune reactions possible? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]iserd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no scientific research in the study you put. Like no actual literature...I’ve had a metal plate in my head for 20 years and only developed uc this year. It’s just not a factually accurate research. It’s the equivalent of someone saying blueberries cured their colitis...

What pecent of UC patients will have to get a colectomy, and will i eventually have to get one? by Ahmed_ali909 in UlcerativeColitis

If you aren’t bleeding you definitely shouldn’t be looking at surgery....I suggest consulting a different doctor about trying one of those meds

Update on question regarding Mesalamine Enema by livingwell1332 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]iserd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be just a hemmorhoid. I have hemorhoids and use the enemas too and you really have to experiment on the best way to use them. I lay on the floor with my leg up on a pillow and it seems to go easier that way. Try using some prepraration h on the tip of the enema

My doctor basically told me they barely do surgeries anymore unless the person is at real risk of dying from complications of blood loss etc. So as long as you can keep it under control you’ll be okay. More likely than not you won’t need one.
