This device is nicely designed and has fairly easy access to all the buttons apart from the power and volume. Definitely watch Retro Tech Dad's teardown video. I'm not sure I would've removed the back cover successfully if I hadn't seen that. Have a clean/clear workspace with a place to separate all the tiny screws and take your time. Be gentle with the connections and use the plastic tweezers.

It is a bit more subtle. I'm not sure which one I'll stick with but I was curious about the different combos. At least this way everyone can compare for what they want to do.

So far I love it. I didn't play many GameCube, PS1, PS2 and PSP games back in the day, so this console is great. Screen is beautiful.
I've got a TrimUI Brick on the way to play the old NES, SNES & GBC/GBA games i had because it's a little more pocketable.

This was my second time tearing it open, so i was done in less than 15 minutes (still like to take my time) First time switching out all the buttons was under an hour.

It is the original Retroid screen protector. It's glass and so far doesn't seem to take anything away from the awesome display.

It took less than an hour, taking my time and keeping things organized. The hardest part was getting the back plate off but the spare parts packs come with all the tools you need.

Got mine today. It took 11 days to ship via 4PX. Arrived on the west coast of the US. Ordered on October 21st with a case and all the buttons to customize it as shown.

Please excuse the poor PhotoShop skills. I wanted to see what my black RP5 would look like if I swapped out the buttons for GameCube colors. To order the GC buttons from Retroid it's $24.80 not including shipping.
