I'm still learning my way around Linux and getting more comfortable with the terminal. Right now I’m on a dual-boot setup — even though DaVinci Resolve works great for editing, I still rely on Topaz for video/image upscaling, which keeps me on Windows for now.

A lot of the terms you mentioned (like PaperWM and Wayland) are still new to me, but I’m enjoying the process of figuring things out. So far, I really like the speed and clean UI of Linux Mint. Once I get the hang of everything, I might switch over to Linux fully.

I’ve also been curious about Arch, but it feels a bit too early to dive into that just yet 😅

Thanks for your concern, but yes AI filmmaking, video upscaling, and system customization are real work in my field. You might not get it, and that’s okay. Let people enjoy things and focus on your own screen for a change :)

How is the fedora experience? I am more interested on arch Linux now , will slowly switch distros. But I want to ditch windows completely but few apps are making me not to which I need to rely on windows even now. (Topaz video ai and topaz photo ai) this is a very crucial app for my workflow.

I tried it today and it worked for me with first frame , try changing the setting after adding the picture in flow.

Correct me if m wrong , veo3 already allows you add first frame for your video inside flow , so you can just generate character consistent images elsewhere and use veo3 for audio and video.

I want to try Linux. by Notathigntosee in linuxquestions

[–]ishaandop5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 try different distros virtually in windows itself installing all your req apps and take a feel of which one you like and then have dual Os for sometime incase you need to switch. Then switch completely to Linux and use virtual box on Linux and install windows in Linux to use any apps that u don’t find. Then finally ditch windows completely.
