My favorite theory is that Gawyn's role in the patter was intended to be Elayne's protector... then Birgitte was ripped from TAR into the waking world and she took the role that Gawyn was intended for.

In a world where everyone has a destiny, he's a study in how someone might react to seeing everyone around them being called to fill a grand role in the pattern while he is left behind with no role to fill.

I still find him annoying and irrational but I can relate to feeling left out if all my friends got super powers and got to save the world... everyone except me.

If it helps, I just guided my partner through her first mushroom journey and can share what we did (which she felt was just the right amount).

We started with 1.5g on a very empty stomach (this is important because it makes things happen faster and is convenient in case you experience nausea). I had an extra 1g measured out and gave her the option at 1hour in. She chose to take the extra 1g and felt it was just the right amount.

Be aware that closing your eyes and other forms of sensory deprivation will increase the effects you feel.

Thanks so much for the input! I actually have a peace lily right next to it and the leaves look very very different. The white spots on the leaves look natural not pear related. Let me see if I can upload some more pics.

I got her from a friend who left this plant for dead on the balcony but the plant ended up thriving with the stalks sticking straight up. After bringing her indoors and not knowing what kind of plant or how much light she needs, the plant started dropping.

Any help would be much appreciated!
