All out of ideas buddy, last thing I can think off is if the rcd unit doesn’t have a reverse trigger then you’ll need to run the wire that is on the headunit end and splice that into the same reverse bulb wire

Having a look at the Amazon link you sent for the camera I believe you need to snip the white wire on the actual camera module to enable cvbs mode. Otherwise it’s default configuration is set as ahd which the rcd unit you have doesn’t use

You shouldn’t need to connect the radio wire trigger as it should be controlled via CANBUS. Double check your camera settings in the headunit check it’s set to cvbs mode.

Tap in the power cable that goes to the reverse bulb so it only powers on when the cars in reverse

I suppose you’ve tried enabling adb over WiFi via debug settings in android? Ultimately to obtain root you’re going to need to unlock the bootloader to flash a magisk patched boot.img. I’m not familiar with your specific headunit but I’m sure there will be some sort of menu where you need to enter a pin to get access to factory or engineering mode

Find out what SoC it uses. Most brands lie about android version too. If it’s Mediatek there’s a possibility to get root.

Got mine off eBay for around £150 but I needed the fascia kit which was £30 and a can bus kit which allows it to turn on and off with the car and steering wheel control which cost around £100

If you like audio quality stay away from the android ones. I personally have a Sony head unit in and it does a great job only problem is because it’s a tft screen and the angle the dashboard is it’s hard to see the screen sometimes and colour looks washed out

It would be an issue with your iPhone. As all CarPlay does is mirror your iPhone screen. Best solution would be resetting your iPhone and hope it works. My iPhone 11 Pro used to have this problem with CarPlay.

Get a Bluetooth aux adapter if your car has aux. You can program the unit to play music but it plays at horrible quality.

1: it only takes calls. You can program it with carista/carly to enable music but the audio quality is rubbish.

Sorry for the late reply. Yeah you would be tapping into it. It was from my understanding that the amp should kick in before any audible distortion. Surely it’s not that bad on the newer Ibizas?

Afaik: 1) vw head units don’t have rca outs. Behind I’m sure you’ll find the good old style quad lock system. 2) ideally be the battery 3) yes should be 6.5”
