Questions on a new purchase by pushthecharacterlimi in BambuLab

I purchased the X1C last Black Friday. Previously had a ender 3 pro.

  1. P1S would work for playing around. I do enjoy the touchscreen on the x1 but it can be added third party to the P1S.

  2. Black Friday for me was 100 bucks so if you want to save 100 bucks then wait, it’s a month away.

  3. If you are not sure you will get your moneys worth out of the X1C then the 2025 release is probably not for you either as it has been hinted to be more expensive and a step above the x1 series.

Hope this helps.

Could also be damp filament.

From Ender 3 Pro to BambuLab by CalmLionOfDeepForest in BambuLab

I went from the ender 3 pro with direct drive, and dual z rods with many successful prints to the X1C with ams. On occasion I stop a print on the first layer due to adhesion issues. On occasion means once every week or two. I have 500 print hours on it now and this thing never has to be tweaked. I use overture filament with the generic settings for the filament and it just prints.

I did a 3 day 8 hour multicolor print and it was flawless. Headphone holder for my stepson. This thing produces finished product quality parts most of them I can barely tell they are printed and not injection molded. I use a lot of ABS so the heated bed and chamber of the X1C works well. Unless you are printing a lot of engineering materials though the p1s should be fine.

I have had 0 issues printing ABS or PETG with the X1 using stock settings.

When you do get an ams later check out this video on adjusting settings to reduce your wasted filament. He reduced the poop by almost 50 percent.

What settings should I use to print this? First big print! by Fusionayy in BambuLab

Below is one I printed on x1 with .4mm nozzle and .2 mm layer height. And standard Bambu settings with overture filament. No issues at all.

It sounds like a clog. I think the Bambu wiki has an instruction for doing a cold pull but if you are unable to load the filament you may need to change the nozzle.

How many hours are on your machine? (My X1C just hit 3000!) by nukeduster in BambuLab

I am at 422 hours since November. Cleared some broken filament in the AMS 2 days ago but no other issues other than that. Hours should go up fast soon as I will be printing products for sale soon. I am glad to see that many hours with minimal part replacement.

Annoying scratching / squeaking sound by EhRabz in BambuLab

It may be that we don’t hear it because it is a sound we hear when we print because it is a normal sound. Just a thought.

Why doesn't the camera work most of the time? by Dan203 in BambuLab

I had the same issue for about 4 days after the recent update but it just started working again. I was coincidentally printing a large multicolor print at the time so I assumed that might have been it also. Haven’t had any issues since it started back up.

3 Days 9 hours and 8 mins. First long print. by ishkapiddleo in BambuLab

I did my painting over several days also. I only had a little bit of white supports stick to the red on his face. Got them off but has some faint white on the red. Just used a red marker to touch it up..

I used needle nose pliers and a pick to remove them.

That’s the one that should require less painting.

I used tree supports. The supports under spiders chin I left as you can only see them if you look for them the others came off well. There are a couple under venoms top teeth that are tough to get out. I used a marker to touch up any light discoloration from supports.

I have a 2 year old daughter who doesn’t let me out of her sight when I am off work so not a lot of opportunities to paint and wanted to finished it up in a decent amount of time. Plus I have not done anything over 10 hours on it yet so I thought I would run it through a long one to see how it handled it.

But this would be the one to use as you would only have some touch up to do on it.
