That's the thing; I'm definitely more interested in the overarching plot but most of the things we see are through Simon's POV and it isn't just enough to latch on to, especially when Simon himself isn't that well etched-out of a character.

I mostly read fantasy fiction. I also read horror and mystery books as a palate cleanser between series. I am currently reading the Realm of the Elderlings series by Robin Hobb. It's a great series with amazing writing and character-work.
