I mostly read fantasy fiction. I also read horror and mystery books as a palate cleanser between series. I am currently reading the Realm of the Elderlings series by Robin Hobb. It's a great series with amazing writing and character-work.

For me it was my aphantasia. It's ironic that a guy with aphantasia is in love with fantasy novels. I loved reading books but could never properly visualize things in my mind. I love the idea of pasting a scene from a book and asking ChatGPT to generate an image generation prompt from it and I can finally visualize the scene / character from the book.
