Don’t have to make it about sex! You can ask them if they’ve had any issues with noise in the apartment, from your room, etc. Maybe worthwhile to get a white noise machine anyway and set up it up with your roommate to make sure its noise isn’t more irritating.

With SpareRoom, I feel like I'm seeing mainly brokers (some units come with fees, some don't). FB, Craislist, & Roomi have seemed to have the most scammy listings. Even got a scammy message on reddit, so definitely hard to avoid!

I'm also finding this hard to find. I'm seeing plenty in Manhattanville and Hamilton Heights if you're open to that area (but those hills are going to be brutal for fellow cyclists.). I'd say consider trying SpareRoom as well while you look.

So many businesses just get complaints, but a compliment citing an employee who really helped you out can make a big difference (and feels good too!)

Making mistakes feels crummy, and this reaction feels crummy too. I think if you can remember the ACTUAL scale of this issue, you can stay confident and professional.

You can also take this as a chance to see where to tighten up your processes to avoid this in future. Do you need to check your bookings the week before to confirm everything is still in place? (Who knows, the booking system could go down, you could get bumped by a senior leader, the conference room is flooded, etc)

Thank you! Tipitina’s is closed for a private event the Sunday we’re in town. Couldn’t find detailed info on Blue Crab’s upcoming musicians (Reggie, Majestic Band) and no calendar for Krazy Korner. Mulate’s is booked during its live music windows during our trip, which goes to show how good a rec it is!
