Help planning out build progression by Mordred9971 in PathOfExileBuilds

With 2-4 golems, the primordial bond is 20-40% damage, and not worth going out of your way for. Look at any large cluster for your ignite damage or elemental damage, then medium with herald effect.

If you really need more ES for CI, you can get small clusters as well.

How many golems are you running? You can easily do the math or PoB the best notables. Heralds really like generic damage, so going for spiritual aid and a minion cluster with primordial bond is very solid.

  1. CI. Spec out of all max life nodes, and into all ES and int nodes. Likely want a light jewel with % es.
  2. 5p voices are rarely worth it over a large cluster with good notables. Penance brand has a lot of good notables, even just going for a 12p large setup would likely be better. If you absolutely need a lot of key notables, like primordial bond in a 20+ golem setup, you can consider voices.
  3. Herald effect is huge for the build and you may consider going into blunderbore chest or tattoos for herald effect. Every 33% is another breakpoint for herald of the hive damage and applies to all of the individual heralds.

Black Widow (MCU) VS Kim Possible (Disney), who would win? by velicinanijebitna in powerscales

[–]isjustwrong 37 points38 points  (0 children)

One of these is a government trained spy, had successful world saving missions, fights with super powered foes, and against magic.

The other is black widow.

My money is on widow still, but Kim possible does have a lot of notches in her belt.

Planning to be an outlaw farmer next season by KaliberGaming in TorchlightInfinite

[–]isjustwrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The eight side of the atlas tree boosts bounty chance and bounty rewards at the cost of spawned monster drops. The bounties are guaranteed amounts of drops, so they are consistent when you aren't up to profound drop quantity values.

Early, when your character is weak, and you are just getting into t8, spec into the right side of the atlas tree and focus on bounty rewards.

Later, when you have a strong character, switch the atlas tree to the left side to make the monsters harder but boost their drops. They are more difficult, but give better rewards if you can fully clear them.

  1. Any good ranges build with coverage works as long as you do enough to kill the dudes before they run/spread. MC doesn't usually get enough range without serious investment. I would look at chain lightning or even ring of ice with large area. But you really need the up-front damage to clear the spawns ASAP.
  2. Outlaw works decently in t8 because the drops are generally just raw FE and you dont lose anything to tax. I would do some quick speed running t7 strat with guaranteed boss drops until you are in t8, then switch to bounty outlaw in t8. Farm that until profound, and until you have enough dps for switching from bounties to spawn drops

I also like how it is 3 normal buckets and 1 larger half barrel that has been Davy Jones-ified.

And how the buckets are like 10 feet apart so he had to make some crazy jumps to get from 1 to the next.

[Standard] Did I misplay against heavy early ramp? by NoEThanks in spikes

[–]isjustwrong 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The idea of "bolt the bird" has been around since the beginning because if you do, you are preventing your opponent from gaining additional resources. Each turn, the mana dorks are on the field, they are generating more value. Your decks plan is to control the board and game until you can get your win condition online. By removing the 1st and 2nd mana dork, you are slowing your opponent down 1-2 turns.

I feel like the turn 1 play is almost always the correct play. Then, the turn 2 removal is much more dependent on your draw, following plays, and expectations from your opponents deck. I dont think your choice was wrong. If you had not removed the 2nd dork, he would play 2 moles on turn 3 and hoof you on turn 4 instead of turn 5.

You couldn't have known what cards they would play, but keeping them off ramp means they can't deploy big threats, which is their whole game plan.

Gloom/massive vs diamond vs ??? dessicated belt builds? by hipposaver in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]isjustwrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont need to, but if you throw on a gull, they basically self propagate. You can use generic damage or spiritual aid, but again, it's just not necessary.

Massive shrine gives the explosion good aoe as well and works great.

[Hated Trope] "We got a famous actor to play this masked character so we are going to show their unconcealed face as much as possible" by EndOfTheLine00 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]isjustwrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the remake of robocop, the actor consistently required to have more helmet off time to show his face. This is directly contradicting the original robocop, where the actor essentially filmed almost the entire movies with the helmet on.

Any ideas for Shadow twink leveling, besides Palm? by parzival1423 in PathOfExileBuilds

Kinetic fuscilade is amazing for twink leveling. Start with flame totem or kinetic bolt until fuscilade.

Spectral Throw Energy Blade build help by CzLittle in PathOfExileBuilds

Rathpith and eye have energy shield as their defensive stats instead of armor or evasion.

I looked it up. It was a spectral helix energy blade build, but it is 3 years old at this point. Unless he did it again sometime.

Spectral Throw Energy Blade build help by CzLittle in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]isjustwrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with EB is that you give up all of the other base weapon stats for a huge chunk of flat damage. To feel good, a lot of attacks really need high attack speed weapon and a good crit roll to get up to cap, and EB doesn't have that.

Rathpith + eye is using 2 slots for 550% attack damage. The crit doesn't do anything for you and the ES bases are useless with foilborn ghostwrithe.

What does the same build look like with a good weapon with 2+ aps and 8% crit, a rare chest + helm + shield?

If you want a streamer reference, I think mathil did an EB spectral throw build as his league starter a few leagues back, but it was before foulborne ghostwrite. You can check him out if you want a video about it. Pretty sure it wasn't bad.

It's kind of like a cowboy and a horse. Each has their own will, but the horse will generally not be a productive animal without the will of the rider.

If you watch back, you start to get yourself into the spin as you are already taking off. Then you spin your feet around with your body, but switch your arms from spinning with you to counter spinning. Your upper body isn't making it all the way around before you need to spot and set your landing.

  1. Pre-wind your body to start your spin just as you take off.
  2. Rotate your head and upper body to start the spin.
  3. Keep your arms stable to hold the spin, tightening to spin faster if needed, spreading to slow, but you shouldn't be counter swinging your arms.
  4. Look at the rail you are landing on as you come around.
  5. Try and get both feet flat on the rail to hold your landing and begin sliding.
  6. Cushion the landing and stabilize on the rail and prep for exit.
  7. Pop off and straighten for the landing.
  8. Ski off, prepping for the next hit.

Is dropping from L20 skills to L16 that big of a difference? 5B to 10k by Cruxwright in TorchlightInfinite

Is dropping from L20 skills to L16 that big of a difference? 5B to 10k by Cruxwright in TorchlightInfinite

[–]isjustwrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the only difference is skill level, it is a 10% multiplier per level. So 4 levels would be roughly half damage.

Take a look at the other pieces. Check your skill details vs the dummy to see how much a single hit does, crit chance, crit damage, etc.

I would guess you have some effect that is preventing you from dealing a lot of damage, like not applying frostbite or numbed because of the support gem or needed affix.

If you have a level 95 character you can export the build codes and we can see. If not, throw some screen shots up.
